O distintivo do Corinthians é reconhecido internacionalmente como um dos mais belos do mundo e serve como referência para a própria história do futebol brasileiro, tantas são as cópias que dele já se fizeram de norte a sul do País. A forma do distintivo que se utiliza hoje só foi adotada em 1933, quando foram acrescentados os dois últimos elementos do atual desenho - o par de remos e a âncora -, em virtude do incremento dos esportes náuticos. Em 1910, o distintivo seguia os padrões europeus da época e era um brasão com as letras CP. O artista Francisco Rebolo Gonzales, que jogou no clube na década de 20 e chegou a ser campeão paulista em 22, foi dando novo design ao antigo brasão a partir de 1930, até se chegar ao símbolo que hoje é sinônimo de amor à camisa. |
The People's Symbol
The Corinthians badge is internationally recognized as one of the most beautiful in the world and is a reference for the histury of Brazilian soccer itself, because it was copied from North to South of the country. The shape of the badge that is used today was adopted only in 1933, when the last two elements of the actual design were added - the pair of oars and the anchor -, due to the progress of the rowing sports. In 1910, thebadge followed the European patterns at that time and was an arms with the CP letters. The artist Francisco Rodolfo Gonzales, who played in the club at the 20's and was São Paulo champion in 1922, tried to give a new design to the old arms from 1930 on, until he drew the symbol that today is a synonym of love to a shirt. |
