We are a mixed group of people, who are the volunteer first response ambulance team
operating out of Waitara, Taranaki, New Zealand ( Aotearoa ).
We are part of the Taranaki District Health Boards Ambulance Service.
A lot of the equipment we carry has been generously donated by the community.
Donations assist us to carry, up to date equipment, and purchase new life-saving equipment.
(All donations are gratefully received)
The area we currently cover, goes from
Motonui in the North along State Highway 3
to the corner of State Highway 3A in the South.
Then from Waitara, Inland to Tikorangi..
Waitara first response ambulance
carries full resuscitation, oxygen, Entonox,
suction, pulse, blood pressure and defibulation gear.
We however DO NOT carry any drugs.
We also carry full ambulance radio communication equipment.
As much as we would love to, we do not have a home station as such.
The Ambulance Officer on duty, has the first response car with them.
