4600 Timber Ridge Drive in Douglasville!

Come Join the Festivities and Meet the Community!

Along with the sponsors who have generously joined with us, West Central Technical College Douglas Campus is hosting a special day of fun for the Douglas County community! Coinciding with the event, WCTC is celebrating the Grand Re-opening of its Conference Center. There will be Live Remote broadcast by J-93 Christian radio from 10 am until noon. Many of the local restaurants will be providing free food samples, and the WCTC Student Activities Council will be offering free hotdogs, popcorn, snow cones, and soft drinks!

The city of Douglasville Police and Ambulance service will be on hand, as will the city Fire Department with a Fire Truck! Life Flight is even showing up with a helicopter! Many local vendors have also planned to attend, so come on out and see what the fun is all about!

Speaking of fun, let’s not forget the kids! Babycakes the Clown will be there with face painting, balloon art, and magic tricks. There will be crafts such bead making and creating Mother’s Day cards. There will also be Putt Putt Golf and three moonwalk inflatables.

But the kids don’t get to have all the fun. There will also be a Treasure Hunt for kids and adults alike, and there will be lots of live music from drum bands to a Christian band. There will even be a high school dance team on hand.

The day includes a Car & Motorcycle Show with trophies for the winners, and there will also be a motorcycle fun run that morning. There is something for everyone, so come on out and get to know your community! It will be Fun! Fun! Fun! For everyone!

If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Doney.

The following performing groups will be providing entertainment throughout the day:

African Drum Band

Clearcut Band (Christian)

One of the featured events of the day is the Car & Motorcycle Show. Cars will compete in two classes: Classic and Late Model. Trophies will be awarded for the top three winners in each class.

Motorcycles will also compete in two classes: Domestic and Foreign. Trophies will be awarded for Best Domestic, Best Foreign, and Best in Show.

Come on over and view the vehicles and pick your favorites. If you have a car or motorcycle you wish to enter, the entry fee is $20. Please contact Dawn Cook for more information (770) 537-7940 or email her at dcook@westcentraltech.edu.

The Young Chef’s Academy will be helping kids come up with their own culinary creations. There will also be Putt Putt Golf for kids, a Mother’s Day Card creation activity for kids, a Treasure Chest game for kids, and three Moonwalk inflatables (Dino, Cat in the Hat, and Safari) for kids! Word has it that even Batman's Batmobile will be there. The good news is all of this is FREE! All kids have to do is show up for the fun!
