9 month old Nitro and Dottie He was born Saturday June 14th 2003 at 5:45 A.M. As a young calf this little guy was a mamma's boy, which was really the total opposite of his brother, Polka. I was expecting him to be very interactive and not spending much time with Dottie. He was still interactive but he balanced time with his mother and time with people. Polka was all about the people. Nitro was a very trusting 9 month old. He would come all the way up and stay for long periods of time. He has also learned to open his mouth for squirts. Now that he is 2 he is very interactive. He doesn't come up as often as he used to. He has turned into even a bigger momma's boy than before. Zana and Venus still win when it comes to who interacts the most. But while Zana was in AC, Nitro did a fine job at taking her place as main interacter. Now that he is weaned from Dottie he no longer has his mother to hang out with. He tends to pick on the other juveniles a lot more than he used to. In his last year at RPP he had started getting aggressive with the other juveniles. I personally found it hard to interact with them at times, because Nitro and Charlie would be making a fuss.
On July 25, 2007 Nitro, along with Charlie, was moved to the navy.


Physical description: He is a slender, light dolphin with a lot of rake marks. He has a very slender, long head. He has a square shaped rostrum, just like mom.
Dolphin you may be most likely to confuse him with: Zana, but she is a lot chubbier and lighter, though as the two get older they look more and more alike.
