Captive orcas: Takara, Kasatka, Nakai, Kohana, Corky, Keiko, Winnie, Taima, Katina, Bjossa, Orkid, has been my favorite since she was born; her mother Kandu V was my favorite before she died. I also love Splash, Sumar, Keet, Ulises, Kalia, and Trua (any relation of the Kasatka's is a favorite of mine, I don't even have to meet him).

Captive dolphins: Steime is my very favorite. I love her so much!! I also like Daphne, Copper, Kenobi, Polka, Madison, Pacino, Corona (my favorite little baby), Cometta, Nitro, Zana, Bunsen, another one of my very favorites (not more important than Steime though), Beaker, Gracie, Sharkey, Malibu, Crunch, Venus, Penny (RIP). I am finding it hard to choose favorites, so everyone else too. However, Steime wins!! Also, I did an internship with the US Navy marine mammal program Spring 2006. I grew very fond of the dolphins there as well.

Hobbies
Reading (mainly Harry Potter and nonfiction animal books), horseback riding, boogy boarding (so also going to the beach obviously), playing and training my pets, swimming, watching T.V. and movies (I'm addicted), taking my dogs to outdoor places (the mountains when it snows, the beach, the parks etc.), day dreaming (does that count?)

My Pets
Liberty Belle: She is an 11-year-old brown heeler/husky mix. I've had her since she was an 11 week old puppy. I adopted her from the humane society. Out of her litter, she was the smallest and the most afraid. She has grown into a very loyal dog. She hates other people, and has since she was a puppy. She is all different colors of brown, and very pretty in my opinion. She has a great intelligence, and learns tricks very quickley.

Freedom Rings: She is an 11-year-old black and white Siberian Husky. I also rescued her from the humane society when she was 2 years old. She is a sweet heart and loves everyone. She is a little harder to train because of her short attention span, high energy level and independence (typical of huskies) but I think she is a lot easier to train than most of the huskies out there.

Indy Pendence: He is one of the newest members of my family. He is a 5-year-old fawn Boxer. He is the world's best dog. He loves people, he loves dogs and he is super smart. He keeps the older dogs active. He's a big goof ball with a bunch of energy and lots of love to give.

Shingelana: Instead of adopting her she adopted us. We found her in our front yard, where we think someone abandoned her. We now know why they did. She is totally crazy and just kind of there. She is the world's funniest cat. She is an American short hair calico, is about 9 years old and weighs about 16 pounds. We named her after the lion named Shingalana, in the documentary by the same name. There was a movie on the lion, Shingalana like 7 years ago, which was when we got her. It was a great movie, but I have not seen it since. We never call Shingalana by that name. Her nicknames include Shingy (which was what the lion's handlers called her) Bing, or Gimpy. She has always had sort of a limp on her front leg, we think one leg is shorter than the other. She seriously is the weirdest cat in the world, and it is so much fun to make fun of her, but we all really do love her.

Katina: She's all mine and I love her to death. She is 6 years old and was also rescued from the humane society at age 1. She is not a people cat, but she sleeps with me, and tolerates my hugs and kisses. If you hadn't guessed yet, she is named after the orca at Sea World Florida. I don't know her breed, probably some kind of mix. She is brown and black with long hair, very pretty. We call her Tini.

Desani: She is my sister's cat. She's a black domestic short hair. She is about 8 years old, we got her from the humane society the same day as Tini, she was 3 then. At the time we had 2 older cats we knew were going to die soon, they both died within the next year. Desi was named after the bottled water. We swicthed the spelling to make it original. The water is spelled Dasani. This cat is very much a people cat, where there's a lap there's a Desani. I call her Desi Lu often; you know like Desi and Lucy from "I Love Lucy," that is what the company was named. I also love to call her Desi Lu Freebush. Remember from Miss Congeniality, her stage name was Gracie Lou Freebush. I just love Desi's name, so many things you can do with it.

Kenai: We've had him almost a year. He is a 3-year-old purebred black Ragdoll. One of the first pets we ever got from a breeder. He's absolutely huge and it doesn't help because he thinks he is a kitten. He chases the rest of the cats around, which they don't appreciate. He doesn't know how intimidating he is. He's really sweet though, and doesn't realize he's just a big kitten.

Paco: (was renamed, used to be Denali, just never called him anything else but Paco). We got him one day before we got Kenai. We got him from the same breeder, but he is only half ragdoll. He was born on Sep. 15, 2004. We got him when he was 9 weeks old. The other cats have welcomed him more than Kenai, but they still won't have much to do with him. Luckily since Kenai and Denali shared the same home before they're best friends. He is also black and we thought he would resemble Uncle Kenai when he grew up. Now that he is almost 2 he is huge. He weighs about 18 pounds. He is a little over weight, but for the most part he's just a very large animal. He doesn't look like Kenai, instead he resembles a black Shingelana :-P

Hansel and Gretel: These two are in fact the newest members of my family. They were born May 3, 2005. I have just adopted them after spending 2 months fostering them for the humane society. They are little black domestic shorthair kittens. As you can see I have a house full of black cats. These two are very special because they are the only 2 living out of the original 5 from the litter. The little girl was at the edge of death herself but I stayed awake for about 3 days straight force feeding her. The both of them had a really rough start, but they have grown to very happy, healthy little (and I mean little, I don't think they weigh much more than 6 pounds each) cats.

Beaker: She is a gray and purple parakeet. She is named after the dolphin Beaker in DIP at SWC. Beaker is a pretty bluish/purple bird, but she is the meanest, loudest and the biggest out of the 3 birds. She loves to push everyone around and loves to bite my sister and me. She is a big bird, and kind of a bully. However, she is fun to hold and kiss because she is so large. She is nicer to people than parakeets, but she loves her Keto.

Keto: He is my favorite out of the 3, and the only boy. He is named after the orca, and because he is a Para"keet". We had already named the other one Keet so we came up with something close to it and since the orca Keet has a brother Keto, it fit perfectly. He is a light green, very unique, not like the normal everyday green you can always find at the pet store. He is really sweet to both birds and humans but Skeeter (see below) is his favorite girlfriend. He is so sweet and so cute. He will let you hold him all day.

Skeeter: She is a lighter and brighter form of Beaker. She is a bright blue and gray parakeet. She is another form of Keto, sweet and cute. She is named after Keet at SWC (his nickname is Skeeter). Skeeter is a little shy, but as long as Keto is there, she is fine. She is very sweet, but I think she is starting to outrank Beaker on the dominance scale (I'm really hoping, she treats the other birds better).

Bobbie Rey: He is my rabbit. He is albino. He is 2-year-old. We adopted him from the humane society after we found out he was going to be euthanized if he wasn't adopted right away. He had bitten several people and they thought he was no longer suitable for adoption. They asked any of the volunteers if they would take him (I am a volunteer) so I took him. He is really a very sweet rabbit with a fun personality (or should I say rabbitality). He gets along great with the cats. Him and Denali are the best of friends. He also enjoys spending time with our two new kittens.

Mickey Blue Eyes: He is my newest rabbit. He is a netherland dwarf, the cutest and smallest breed of rabbit. He is white with big blue eyes. He is 2-years-old. I adopted him a few months ago as a friend for Bobbie Rey. He ended up not being so friendly, and the two are still not living together. I am working on it and hope to eventually get them to be friends.

Tortuga: He is the turtle I got my brother for Christmas. He's really cute and quite friendly. Obviously we named him after the turtle in "Finding Nemo."

Loo: He is our rat. He is actually a wild rat that my sister found in the toilet at school, hence the name loo. He was only a week or 2 old when she found him. Since then we nursed him back to health and he's grown into an adult rat. He's tame for a wild rat. We've had him for over 2 years, and we are expecting him to die any day now.

Sumaki: He is my betta. It means fish in some language I forget which one lol. We call him Maki, he's a torquiose color, very pretty. I've had him about 2 years. That is the longest I have ever owned a betta (my other 2 lived about a year each). He actually belongs to my mom (I got him for her birthday).

Starbucks: He is a National Show Horse. He's bay. He jumps 3' and is 16.2 hands tall. He is 20 years old, and is my best friend in the whole world, weird huh? But totally true. We understand each other better than anyone does. I love him to death!!! I have owned him for 7.5 years, but I rode him before I owned him as well.

Sunkist: He is the horse I got 3 summers ago. He is a chestnut (sort of red in color) thoroughbred. He is 17 hands tall, and he jumps 4'. He is really fun to work with, but he is immature for being 15 years old. He seriously acts 4. We are working on it though. I love him more and more each time I see him.
