She is not the most interactive dolphin but she has her moments. She loves to have water poured onto her face, and sometimes she will roll over to get it poured on her chin or belly. In addition, she loves to watch people through the glass, if they have something interesting or even if they do not. You can find her in front of the acrylic often. She has recently been moved out of RPP to be weaned from her most recent calf Venus. Cometta is a protective mother. She would always look out for Venus. If another dolphin was picking on her it was Cometta to the rescue. If Cometta thought a person was interacting to long with Venus it was again Cometta to the rescue. She had an amazing bond with her daughter. She is an excellent and very experienced mother. Now that Cometta moved back to RPP in May 2007 she no longer pays attention to Venus. This is the point of the weaning. She seems to swim a lot with Scarback, Crunch, and Dottie.
Physical description: She is a medium size female, with a long, slender body. She is on the darker side. She has a long thin rostrum. Her neck has creases in it all the way around. She has very few rake marks. She has a nick in her fluke.
Dolphin you may be most likely to confuse her with: Maybe Dottie, but Dottie has a square rostrum and is smaller than Cometta. Maybe Cascade, but Cometta is a lot larger than her. They both have that really thin rostrum.
