Kurono is a pessimistic high school student. One day he is waiting to catch the subway train when a drunken homeless man falls onto the tracks. Nobody, including himself moves to help the man except another high school student. His name is Katou. Katou remembers Kurono from when they were in elementary school and talks him into helping. They manage to get the drunk to safety. However, the train arrives before the two can get off the tracks and they are struck and killed. Next, Kurono and Katou find themselves in a room with some other people. An ex politician, a school teacher, a middle school boy, a 'pretty boy', a dog, and a couple of yakuza. After talking a little, they discover the others have also died recently and no one really knows what's going on. They are soon joined by Kishimoto who arrives by some kind of teleporting and equally in the dark about everything. At the back of the room is a large black ball. The ball displays instructions for the people to go out and capture a specified alien. The ball then opens to reveal some futuristic weapons. Also some containers, with each persons name written on them, and containing strange looking body suits. Soon after, everyone is teleported, one by one, outside the room. One of the people in the group, the middle school kid, reveals he knows something about what's going on. He says something about a secret government agency, a television show, and some prize money. Nobody really buys into it but with nothing else to believe in this weird situation, they go off to find the alien.

Review
Drawn and animated well to very well. Has some action and an interesting story. In the edited episodes there is some gore and adult situations. The unedited episodes are much more graphic in both. Over all, very good and each episode left me wanting to see the next. After watching all of the series, I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel or a prequel if they get made.
