Cinderella Boy

Ranma and Rella were a romantically involved couple of private investigators. One night they were in what should have been a fatal car accident but somehow their bodies were merged into one. Now they share the same body but at different times. For 24 hours Ranma is Ranma but at the stroke of midnight, Ranma switches places with Rella. At the next midnight, Rella becomes Ranma. Episode 4 - The two haven't realized they switch bodies with each other yet. Ranma has accepted a job of finding a lost pet and is searching the sewers for it. On his way out he runs into some thugs who accuse him of being with 'them'. Later Rella wakes up in the sewer wondering how she got there. She goes back to her and Ranma's place where she is contacted for a job. A large jewelry store sold a visiting princess a very expensive necklace but accidentally delivered a fake to her. They want Rella to make the switch before anyone notices. When Rella goes to make the switch, the gang from the sewers, a crime boss, the lost pet, and some royal intrigue all converge. Episode 5 - Rella eats a huge lunch at a restaurant. At the next table, a crime boss is also having a big lunch. The two separately order dish after dish. There is a mix up and Rella gets a plate meant for the crime boss. After she finishes eating a note is delivered to her, addressed to whoever ate this particular dish. The note says the dish was poisoned and the person who ate it has only so long to live. Rella knows that this poison was clearly meant for the crime boss but he has already left. To get the antidote, she has to find the assassin. To find him, she has to investigate the crime boss, find out who his enemies are and who is most likely to try to kill him like this. She narrows the field on who it might be but it's almost midnight. She had just learned recently about how she and Ranma switch places so she leaves him a video note so he can continue the search.
