Asagiri no Miko
Written by : Hiroki Ugawa Genre : Supernatural / Adventure / Comedy A local high school is beset by a huge vengeful spirit. The Miko council jumps into action and expertly dispatches the harasser. Actually Yuzu does the dispatching as the other three members of the Miko Council, Chika, Izumi, and Seiko have just recently been recruited. Yuzu needs one more member to complete the team and Miso is the prime candidate. Yuzu seems to have been having trouble recruiting lately but a quick visit to Miso's mansion reveals that she is an admirer of the Miko council and the team is complete. Yuzu is away on an errand when the same vengeful spirit that came to school the other day comes back. This time the spirit is controlled by a masked man who has a grudge against Hiro. The Miko trainees enthusiastically don their uniforms and rush to confront the evil pair but suddenly realize that they actually haven't any idea how to fight them. Luckily Yuzu returns and saves the day. |

Episode 5 was roughly 12 minutes of a fun anime. Enjoyable to watch, nicely drawn, likable characters, some easy going action, some humor and a hint at a series plot. Even if there isn't a plot, it was still fun to watch. Definitely promising. |
