Marin and Meran

Asagi Marin is a high spirited girl who delivers papers before school. She's 13 years old and an orphan who lives in a boarding house full of colorful characters who are all as close as family to her. One day at school, Marin is in the middle of a ' accepting an achievement award / underwear is showing ' experience, when the whole sky begins to shimmer. Later that day, a hole appears in this shimmering sky and out comes a Top shaped mecha who singles out Marin for target practice. After a brief chase, she is cornered but another mecha appears, introduces himself as Merin Blue and then attacks the first mecha. Merin doesn't known why Marin is targeted but he says he will protect her when more show up.
