Misaki arrives in Tokyo to live
with her Aunt Shouko and as she gets off the train, she sees a public broadcast
of an Angelic Layer battle and is instantly enthralled. Angelic Layer is
a popular Martial Arts competition between small, will power driven dolls.
After getting a brief description of Angelic Layer from Ich-chan, she buys
a kit and makes one of her own. Misaki makes friends at her new school
and learns more about Angelic Layer. Misaki shows talent and, with a little
help and encouragement from her new friends, it's not long before she enters
into a competition.
