First, you must get to the Quest called Dr. Osto's Research.
All you have to do up to that point is simply beat all of the
quests before it, nothing else. During one point in Dr.
Osto's Research you will find a character named Sue.
After she asks you your name, simply do not tell Sue your name.
This is very important, or you cannot get the Soul Eater, period.
If you mess up, simply exit from the game's Quit after hitting
the black or white button, and try again.
The next step will take some time, but it is the only way to get
the Soul Eater... once again. Actually, all of these steps are the only
way to get it by yourself. Just beat all of the offline quests now,
yes, you read that right... all of them. It's not that hard. There are
actually some new ones in there not in the Dreamcast versiions
with cut-scenes. Good stuff.
After you have beat all of the offline quests, you will have the
option to play any of them at your own free will. So, select
Waterfall Tears, then after you kick Anna's ass in that quest
keep going up on the map. Kireek will be waiting for you, and then
you will have to fight him. He CAN be hard, but that depends on your
level. I recommend just having atleast a level 30 character before
attempting to fight him. Yes, Kireek wields the almighty Soul Eater.
Next, hit Black Paper. Find Kireek in Cave 1, just use the
Area Map from the Item Pack to find his green triangle. He will
be stronger this time, and take more hits, so carry a few revival items
or heal yourself with Resta if you need to. Simply beat the quest
after that.
The next step is going to From the Depths. When Ash parts with
you, return to Ruins 2, and keep going backwards until you find
him all beat up from Kireek. This is the final showdown, and Kireek
is tougher than ever. Win this one by killing him, and then you will
automatically steal his Soul Eater. Any class is able to use it. It's
special attack also does quad-damage by stealing your life, which
can be useful, but make sure to watch your health. It also makes for
good use when your mag makes you temporarily invincible.
That's all there is to it, which is kind of a lot, but it is worth it,
especially if you are a bit lower of a level.
