So, you've bought R/S Pinball but have no idea what to do? You want tips on those elusive bonuses? You want the game to last more then 1 1/2 minutes? You're a pro looking for tips to make you a true Pokemon Master? | You came to the right place. Soon there will be lessons to help you with everything from catching Pokemon to the Slots! Lesson 1 : Hitting the Ball where YOU want it to goSounds simple enough, right? WRONG. Hit the Ball with the part of the flipper that corresponds to this chart:
So, if you hit the Ball with the tip of the flipper, it'll go to the other side of the table? Yes, basically. Lesson 2: Catch 'Em ModeYou've mastered the art of hitting the ball, but what do you do now? Start with catching Pokemon. You'll have to light three Catch 'Em Arrows before you can catch anything. Do this by shooting the Ball round the right-hand loop using the corresponding technique in the table. Then shoot the Ball into Sharpedo's or Wailmer's mouth. Now: 1. Shoot the Ball up to the Chinchou, Lotad or Shroomish. You'll need to hit one three times to reveal the Pokemon. Lesson 3: Evolution ModeTo evolve a Pokemon, you need to have caught one first. Then shoot the Ball round the left-hand side of the table three times. Once you do this, the Pokemon Mart will turn into a Pokemon Centre. Now shoot the ball into the Poke Centre. 1. The experience, link cables or Evolution Stones will appear at random locations on the board. Collect all three to open the hole in the centre of the table (the one you use for the Slots) and shoot the Ball into this to evolve the Pokemon. Tip: I recommend you shoot the Ball once around a loop (whichever: it doesn't matter) to see where the icon is. Lesson 4: Bonus TablesCatch three Pokemon or evolve two (you get one Pokeball icon for capturing a creature and two for evolving one) and you'll activate a bonus board. In the old Pinball these stages were, for the Blue board, Meowth, Gengar and finally Mewtwo; while on the Red board you could play the Diglett, Seel and, yes, Mewtwo again. In R/S, these stages are Kecleon/Groudon/Rayquaza or Duskull/Kyogre/Rayquaza. There is also another bonus board, the Spheal, which I have covered - along with the others - in my Bonus Boards page. To get to these stages, first fulfill the criteria I have outlined above then simply shoot the ball into the hole that should have opened in the centre of the table. (Not your actual table, of course.) | |||
