| Pokemon Diamond/PearlPokemon Diamond: once a notorious fake Pokemon game (which I incidentally saw on sale...), now a fully legitimate and upcoming game for the DS. New features seem to include the welcome return of the day/night system, a more 3D look to the games and lots of new Pokemon. Diamond and Pearl seem to feature new Legendaries, too, though I can't remember their names offhand; I think one of them relates to space and one to time, though don't quote me on that. The new games offer the interesting prospect of how the DS' features are going to be used; one can only hope that they don't use its capabilities as gimmicks that don't fit in comfortably with the rest of the game. I think that mini-games would be a good choice for using the touch screen, but please, no navigation around the new world with the stylus. I don't think I can handle that just yet. From the screens I've seen, Diamond/Pearl seems to be shaping up quite nicely; I can but hope that it will return the games to the level of excellence that peaked with Gold/Silver/Crystal. Now they were amazing. | ||
