TIPS Beat All Gym Leaders!

Falkner (Violet City)

If you have Totodile, just Scratch all the time.
If you chose Cyndaquil at the start, I recommend using any attack you have as none of them is particularly effective against Normal or Flying Pokemon.
If you have Chikorita you’ll need to trade a Bellsprout for an Onix and raise it up to a high level.

Bugsy(Azalea Town)

You should use a Spearow around level 10 to make this battle easier. Again, if you have Totodile(he should have got to about level 18-21)use Bite and Scratch.

Get a high level Hoothoot (level 11 or higher) and use Flying moves if you have a Chikorita.

If Cyndaquil knows ANY fire moves JUST USE THEM, OK?

Whitney(Goldenrod City)

Try and catch an Abra on the nearest Route to trade for Machop (female) Then Karate Chop, Focus Energy and Low Kick Whitney’s Pokčmon for the KO. Totodile/Croconaw Suggestion: Bite or Rage. DON’T USE SCRATCH!

Morty(Ecruteak City)

This is the Ultimate Town of Action in Crystal. Suicune, your rival, Gym Leader Morty and new character Eusine, the Suicune fan.

Anyway, Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligator Suggestion:bite, Bite, BITE!
Chikorita/Bayleef Suggestion:Catch a Growlithe and, again, BITE!
Cyndaquil/Quilava Suggestion:Catch a Growlithe. You should know what to do now!

Jasmine(Olivine City)

Go up to the top of the lighthouse and talk to Jasmine. Then go to Cianwood City on a Pokemon with Surf. Beat Chuck then talk to his wife outside the gym. Get the Secret Potion from the bottom house and fly back then give the Potion to Jasmine. When you have Machop this battle is easy. Just build it up to around Level 20 and use Karate Chop or other fighting moves.

Totodile/Crocanaw/Feraligatr Suggestion:Slash or Hydro Pump(if you have it)

Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion Suggestion:Ember, Flame Wheel, whatever Fire moves you have.

Chikorita/Bayleef Suggestion:Get your Machop out and Karate Chop etc. Jasmine's Steel Pokemon!

Chuck(Cianwood City)

Chikorita/Bayleef/Meganium Suggestion:Use Flying Pokemon and peck his strength away.
Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligatr Suggestion: Don't Bite. Use Slash and Hydro Pump if you have it.
Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion Suggestion: Either use Flying Pokemon or the strongest moves you have. His Poliwrath is really annoying - it has a move that can do serious damage to you. I recommend using a Grass or Electric Pokemon to combat this fearsome fighter.

Clair(Blackthorn City)

There's no real strategy to this battle, all you can do is use high-damage attacks and carry lots of Max potions. Oh, and good luck - you'll need it.

Also don't forget to go to the cave behind the Gym(you'll need Surf)to get Clair's badge(Rising Badge) in the little house. And a free Dratini!

The Elite Four!(actually it's five)

There are five Trainers to battle: Will, who uses Psychic/Dual Psychic Pokemon, Bruno from the Red/Blue Elite Four who uses Fighting Pokemon, Koga from the Fuschia City gym who uses Poison and Grass Type Pokemon, Karen , who uses Ghost and Poison Pokemon and finally the Champion, Lance, the champion of the original Elite Four, who uses Dragon type Pokemon. Watch out for his LV50 Dragonites! My team was:(with a friend's borrowed Typhlosion)Typhlosion lv 73, Gyarados lv 34, Pidgeot lv 36, Jynx lv 32, Ho-Oh lv 40 and Corsola lv 34.

My team with a Feraligatr was:Feraligatr lv 79, Lapras lv 24(to get experience), Flaaffy lv 29(again for experience), Gyarados lv 37,Ho-Oh lv 55 and Pidgeot lv 37.
