Lying here dying, barely breathing
My body's so cold, shivering and freezing
Thinking about what all you told me
You opened my eyes, you made me see
The goodness in people, deep down in their heart
You were a wonderful person, right from the start
You are here now, gently holding me
There's a lock on my heart, you're turning the key
As you touch my face, I feel your hand shaking
Deep down inside, my heart's slowly breaking
My soul's left my body, free from the Earth
Now it is time for my heavenly rebirth
But as I turn to go, I see you crying
I wipe away the tears, your eyes are drying
