turtle, telling it they will go for a walk next time. Ami walks

hopes it’s no problem, and says he (the turtle) will be so happy.
Usagi says it’s not a problem and Motoki pets his turtle, asking
it if it’s great. Usagi shyly asks him his name before he can
get into full-blown turtle mode. He answers Furuhata Motoki and
asks if she’s Usagi, because he’s heard her friends call her
that. He then pulls out three tickets for the amusement park

Motoki tries to apologize for their amusement park outing and
his claustrophobia, but she’s already gone.
ACT 11

Mikichi, the turtle, looks up at the smiling Motoki. He then
notices Usagi peeking around the corner and quickly turns away
and fixes his hair in a hand mirror. He turns back around and
welcomes her. She asks if Chiba Mamoru is there today and a
disappointed Motoki says he can’t always ask him to look after
the place. Usagi’s happy at the news and Motoki asks if they
had a fight, to which Usagi replies that they didn’t fight, he’s
just always annoying her. Motoki tells her Mamoru’s a good guy,
then quickly changes the subject, asking if she knew Aino Minako
is in the hospital.
ACT 13

Mamoru’s in his apartment when the phone rings. Motoki’s sad
voice comes over the line saying he doesn’t know what to do. At
the Karaoke Center, Usagi enters to find the place in wild
disarray. Motoki pops up from behind the counter, his face
ghost-white. He moans that he has nothing to live for and
explains that his turtle Kamikichi has disappeared. He was
cleaning the cage, put Kamikichi in a bucket, but it fell over
and he escaped. He moans again that he can no longer live, when
Mamoru enters with the news that he found a person who has a
turtle that looks like Kamikichi. Motoki, Mamoru, and Usagi
arrive at a yellow house surrounded by a vine-covered fence.
They walk towards the door, Motoki and Usagi calling for
Kamikichi-kun. a window opens and a man looks at them. The two
scream and try to climb over the fence to get away, when Mamoru
stops them. He tells them to look more carefully and they see
the man is holding Kamikichi up with a smile. Motoki happily
takes his turtle and tells it that it’s good the man found him.
He thanks the man, who tells him he’s happy he found the owner
and he (Motoki) should hurry and feed him. Motoki leaves happily
with Kamikichi.

walk? Mamoru’s remembering when Kunzite inserted some hair into
Sailor Moon’s neck when Motoki thanks him for taking care of
Mikichi before, Ami approaches, supporting Usagi, and both boys
wonder if she’s okay. Ami replies she’s just sick and Mamoru
offers to carry Usagi home. Motoki reassures Ami that Mamoru’s
a friend and the three-some leave, Usagi on Mamoru’s back.
ACT 15

Motoki holds up a picture of a turtle against the tank,
moving it like it’s walking. He explains she’s Maririn, and
Mikichi should think about getting married. Mamoru comes in and
tells Motoki to worry more about himself than turtles. Motoki
protests that he’s fine, but Mamoru asks about Usagi and how
they seemed to have fun at the park the previous year. Motoki
replies that she seems to have had a change of heart, and is
about to continue when a few girls enter, including Usagi and
Naru. Naru asks about a boy Usagi liked, but Usagi asks her to
stop while their friends scream happily. Motoki asks how she
(Usagi) is doing and Usagi clarifies for her friends that she
was sick and fell asleep in the karaoke room. Motoki mentions
that Mamoru carried her home on his back. Surprised, Usagi
looks at Mamoru, who looks down at Kamekichi. Her friends start
to complain, but Usagi thanks Mamoru, who replies it was no
problem. Naru looks at Usagi, smiling mischievously. A little
while later, Naru leaves the karaoke room and walks up to the
counter where Motoki is showing another picture of a female
turtle to Kamekichi. He says her name is Jasshi. Naru looks
through the other side of the tank and remarks that Kamekichi’s
a cute turtle. She then turns to Motoki and asks if he’ll do
something for her.

Kamekichi’s tank and says it’s from his (Mikichi’s) girlfriend.
He then pouts, asking the turtle why he gets a present and he
(Motoki) is left to die. Ami enters and reaches into her bag.
Motoki gets excited that maybe she has something for him, but
his face falls as she pulls out her passport. He looks at her
other bag and sees yarn. As she walks off, Motoki comments that
there’s no shape to the chocolate. Later that day, Motoki’s
feeding his pet, commenting on how envious he feels. Makoto
walks up and pulls out a dark green muffler. She explains that
it was made for homework, but she doesn’t like it. She hands it
to Motoki and says she’ll be happy if he takes it, as a thank
you for the information about Mamoru and Hina. She turns and
walks away while Motoki happily shows the muffler to Kamekichi
and goes on about how happy he is. Makoto walks through the
doors saying how she envies Motoki because he doesn’t have any
worries. The doors close as Motoki screams how amazing it is.
ACT 20

Motoki is wearing the muffler Makoto gave him and is gloating
to Kamekichi how he’s no the only one in a love situation.
Makoto enters, says good afternoon and flashes her pass. Motoki
welcomes her and as she walks away he calls to her that the
muffler’s warm. Makoto waves at him over her shoulder while
Motoki calls back thanking her, climbing up onto the counter,
waving back.
ACT 21

to go the amusement park. Makoto is watching her ride the
merry-go-round when someone calls her name. She turns and sees
Motoki running up to her, holding a box. He opens it to show
Kamekichi inside and explains that he wanted him to get some
fresh air. She mentions she’s with Ami and turns to see the girl
fainted on the horse. she calls for the ride to be stopped and
runs over. A short while later, Motoki is behind the wheel of
his green car, driving Makoto and a sleeping Ami to the
hospital. Makoto apologizes for troubling him, but he waves her
off with a no problem. He shows her he’s wearing the muffler and
thanks her again, explaining no one else gave him a Valentine.
Makoto starts to say there was no meaning behind it and he
replies her knows, and this is his way of paying her back, by
driving them to the hospital. At their destination, Makoto is
waiting while tests are done on Ami when Motoki hands her a hot
drink. He reassures her that Ami will be okay, because Kamekichi
says so. He’s a fortune-telling turtle. Motoki counts the
polygons on his pet’s shell and Mako laughs. He comments that
she’s finally laughing, and she looks at him confused. Then
Motoki mentions that he has to go to work and Mako apologizes
for bothering him. He asks her to hold out her hand and, putting
Kamekichi’s box done, he pulls items out of his pockets and
hands them to her; which includes a magazine and random snacks,
since the examinations are going to take awhile. After her arms
are full he tells her to let him know the results and walks away
after saying good-bye several times. Suddenly, he turns back and
returns embarrassed, for Kamekichi. He waves a couple more
times and leaves.

Kamekichi, who seems to be in charge of the counter for the
moment, and runs off.

him for his date with Maririn. Does Kamekichi want to go to the
barbershop? Usagi and Mamoru enter and Motoki comments on the
unusual couple. Motoki mentions that it’s the perfect time to
invite Usagi and her friends to Mamoru’s good-bye party. the
news causes Usagi’s spirits to sink low. Makoto walks in and
Motoki runs up to her welcoming her and asks how she likes he
new haircut. He’s still wearing the green muffler.
ACT 25

Mamoru enters the Crown Karaoke Center after getting an
urgent phone call from Motoki about Hina, but no one’s at the
counter. Looking around he spots a life-size turtle walking
around on it’s hind legs. Just kidding. ^_^ Motoki is wearing a
spandex green jump suit, a large shell on his back, a stuffed
turtle on his head, and the muffler that Makoto gave him.
Mamoru looks at him like his friend’s lost it and asks why he’s
all dressed up. Motoki squeaks a stuffed turtle toy and tells
him the costume is for his farewell party and as Mamoru sighs,
he changes the subject and asks if he and Hina are fighting
because Hina told him (Motoki) that she had found a girl’s
handkerchief in Mamoru’s house. Mamoru looks away and Motoki,
not noticing his friend’s distress, goes on about since Hina’s
father is Mamoru’s benefactor he (Mamoru) has a weak spot for
them a can’t refuse them, even though he doesn’t really love
her. While Motoki’s talking, Hina, who had been in one of the
karaoke rooms for the party, leaves the room and, walking
towards them, overhears Motoki’s last sentence. Her eyes catch
Mamoru’s and he yells at Motoki to stop. Motoki turns around and
his mouth falls open on seeing Hina. she runs out of the Karaoke
Center, her yes full of anger and sadness. Mamoru runs after

Kamekichi to punch him, hitting himself with the squeaky turtle toy.

more slowly. They stop at the counter where Motoki’s upper body
lies sprawled across. He mutters his thanks to Rei for coming
and continues to stare off into space. Usagi and Makoto both ask
if he’s all right, and Motoki, on seeing Mako suddenly springs
to life. He says he’s such a horrible person and hits his head
against the computer monitor several times. Laying his head back
down on the counter he explains that he said something awful to
Hina and he’s worried she’ll think ill of him and leave for
London the day after tomorrow in that state. Usagi’s not happy
on hearing the news, especially since Mamoru’s going too. The
next day Makoto enters the Karaoke Center to find Motoki’s
turtle-loving, hiccuping-around-girls friend, Takai, who’s
taking digital pictures of Kamekichi together with his
girlfriend Maririn. He explains, between hiccups, that Motoki
had to run to the airport to see Mamoru and Hina off. It turns
out his departure date is today instead of tomorrow. Mako
flashes her pass and runs down the hallway to the secret senshi
karaoke room. Takai breaths a sigh of relief and pops a slice of
hiccup-stopping lemon into his mouth. Meanwhile, in the tank,
Kamekichi and Maririn enjoy blissful uninterrupted turtle love.
