Act 7

ACT 7

Flashback from the last episode with Sailor Moon narrating. She talks about the new transfer student Mako-chan being Sailor Jupiter bringing the four senshi together. Then Luna tells the senshi that they have to combine their powers and search for both the Princess and the Silver Crystal. Moon returns saying that Luna thinks Sailor V might be the Princess and it’s be great if it were true. But she admits that she’s more interested in finding out who Tuxedo Kamen is.

Opening

One night, Sailor Moon chases a youma that’s made of some straw substance. She fight it, kicking, spinning, and dodging as it swipes at her with its sword. She manages to kick the sword and uses Moon Tiara Boomerang on it. The youma falls to the ground, a life-less pile of straw. Sailor Moon stares at it, confused, when Luna shouts a warning to look behind her. Turning around, she sees the real straw youma standing there. It throws dozens of large sharp pins at her, causing her to cover her face to protect it. But before they can touch her, a cane comes up and knocks the pins away. Moon looks up to see her rescurer. “Tuxedo Kamen!” He turns to look at her, and the youma sees it’s chance and throws a pin at him, cutting across his shoulder. Tux clutches his shoulder in pain as Moon runs over to him. The youma picks up his sword, but Moon picks up one of the pins and throws it at him. It just grazes it and the youma runs away, leaving Moon to stare after it. She pouts that it got away and turns to Tuxedo Kamen, but he’s gone. She runs to the ledge and sees him running down the street. She vaults over the railing and starts to run after him, when someone shouts out not to follow him. Moon quickly looks around and spots Sailor V standing nearby on a ledge. She tells Moon not to get too close to Tuxedo Kamen, no matter what. Moon asks what she means and V replies that he’s dangerous and to think of him as her enemy. Moon cries out that it can’t be true, but doesn’t get an answer. Luna asks if she’s the Princess, but V just stares at her for a long moment before running off to disappear into the night. Sailor Moon looks around and wonders what she meant about Tux being an enemy.

In the Dark Kingdom, the silver-haired general is playing his piano, reading from glowing marble-like sheet music.

In the main room, Nephrite stands in front of Queen Beryl, who asks about Sailor V. Nephrite explains that Zoicite thinks that she might be the Princess. Beryl fumes about that hateful brat and tells Nephrite that if it’s true, to let Zoicite know to finish her off right away. Nephrite asks why she leaves such an important job to him. It’s just not like to his (Nephrite’s) liking. Beryl asks why not and he replies that Zoicite works of his own initiative too freely and uses him as a messenger to deliver his news to her. Beryl tells Nephrite to bear it, that it’s best to leave him alone and let him do as he likes. She orders Nephrite to continue his search for the Silver Crystal. Standing beside Nephrite, Jadeite looks away sharply.

In an echoing stone hallway, Nephrite approaches Jadeite and sneers at him, saying that Queen Beryl won’t even speak to him; that she’s fed up with him. Jadeite glares at him, approaching and retorts that he will continue to collect human energy to give to his queen without fail. He also tells Nephrite to shut up and search for the Silver Crystal. Nephrite looks away, smiling coldly.

In the music room, Zoicite continues to play his piano, thinking that he is getting closer to Sailor V.

Outside the Crown Karaoke Center, Usagi stands dejectedly, and asks herself if Tuxedo Kamen is really her enemy. That if he is, why would he save her all the time. She walks in and resolves that he can’t be an enemy. She stops in the doorway to the main room when she sees Motoki folding up a tuxedo jacket with a rip on the shoulder. Usagi remembers Tux getting cut by the youma in the same spot. Stunned, she walks in, and Motoki welcomes her, puts the jacket away, and turns to her. Usagi just stares at him, thinking if he’s really Tuxedo Kamen. The turtle squeaks as she thinks that she can’t believe it; he was here the whole time.

In the secret karaoke room, Makoto muses over the news that Tuxedo Kamen might be an enemy. Luna says that Sailor V seems to know everything and Ami asks again if Sailor V is the Princess. Rei asks who the Princess is, to which Luna answers that when the time comes, she will tell them the story of who the Princess and the senshi are. Usagi glances at the ceiling, resolving not to tell them about her discovery.

In bed that night, she repeats her resolution. Luna asks her is she’s fallen in love with Tuxedo Kamen and Usagi quickly goes on the defensive, saying of course she’s not. That it’s just that he has saved her life several times, and she’s interested in him. Luna warns her not to get too close to him and Usagi tiredly says she knows and hears Sailor V’s warning in her head to think of him as her enemy. She shakes her head and pulls the blankets up. She knows Tux isn’t an enemy and continues to pull the blankets up over her head. She remembers Luna asking if she’s in love with him, and she buries her face in the blankets, moaning that she doesn’t know.

Up in the sky, the full moon shines.

At the Crown Karaoke Center, Motoki welcomes Usagi, and when she just stares at him, he asks if anything is wrong. She shakes her head, bows Good Afternoon and pulls a bag of food out for his turtle. He thanks her and says it’ll make the turtle happy. Usagi protests that it was no problem while he pets the turtle, asking if it’s great. Before he can become totally immersed with his turtle, Usagi asks if she can have his name. Furuhata Motoki. He asks if she’s Usagi-chan, because he’s heard her friends calling her that. Usagi smiles brightly and Motoki remembers something and pulls out some tickets. As a thank you for the turtle food, he hands them to her, explaining that he received the tickets for the amusement park, but forgot about them, and now they’re only good ‘till tomorrow. He asks if she’d like to go with him, that he’s inviting some friends and the more the merrier. Usagi happily agrees.

At the amusement park, Usagi, Rei, and Makoto wait for the guys to arrive. Rei asks annoyed why she had to come along and Usagi tells her that Ami wanted to research Sailor V and she told Motoki-kun that she’d bring two others. Makoto nudges about calling Motoki by his first name, causing Usagi to blush. Rei asks what that’s all about, and Usagi scratches her head, embarrassed, then sees Mamoru standing nearby. He looks at her with disdain and walks over to them, frowning. Usagi’s asking him what he’s doing there when Motoki jogs over and asks if they know each other. Usagi asks Motoki if he (Mamoru) is his friend and Motoki replies they’re classmates. Mamoru continues to frown. Makoto whispers to Usagi if she knows Mamoru, but Usagi answers he’s just an annoying guy she sometimes runs in to. Motoki hands Mamoru a white bag which has the tuxedo jacket inside, and says his mom fixed it. Mamoru thanks him and Motoki comments that he must have a pretty weird part-time job if he has to wear a tuxedo for it. Usagi glares at Mamoru, and pouts, thinking that she finally gets her first date with Tuxedo Kamen and he (Mamoru) has to come along.

Motoki looks over and waves to a teenage boy wearing a furry turtle-shaped backpack. He introduces Takai, the last member of their group, who loves turtles as much as Motoki does. The six do jan ken po (rock, paper scissors) to pair up. Makoto and Motoki, Rei and Takai, and... Usagi and Mamoru. Makoto looks at the glum Usagi and says she’s go with a person she doesn’t know and switches partners with Usagi. Motoki and Usagi head off into the park, and Usagi flashes a smile at Makoto, thanking her. Mamoru says he should’ve figured something like that would happen and Makoto explains that’s what seems to be up today. Mamoru replies that he doesn’t really care because Motoki forced him to come. He starts to walk away and calls back to Makoto that they might as well go on the rides since there’s no point in just watching. Makoto nods uncomfortably and follows.

Bewildered, Rei watches them go, then turns to Takai and tries to talk to him, but he starts to hiccup, causing her to jump back. He explains that being with women makes him hiccup. Rei looks away, not knowing what to say.

Usagi and Motoki are on the roller coaster and Usagi happily thinks that she can’t believe she’s with Tuxedo Kamen. She looks over at Motoki, screaming and grinning beside her. She wonders why he’s acting differently from Tux, but reasons that it’s to hide his secret identity. They both scream as the coaster plunges down.

On the ground, Rei and Takai watch, the former patting his back to try and stop the hiccups. Takai asks her to wait and sits down. He takes out a container with a turtle on it and several lemon slices inside. He explains that lemons work best on hiccups. Rei just looks at him.

A little while later, Usagi and Motoki are sitting in a boat on the lake when Mamoru and Makoto row by with the latter managing the oars. Mamoru looks at Usagi and turns back to Makoto, asking is she wants him to row for awhile, and starting the think she’s one strange girl. Makoto cheerfully says she’s fine rowing. Usagi’s trailing her hand in the water when Motoki spots a turtle and croons that it’s so cute. Usagi agrees and thinks that the Turtle and Rabbit together must be destiny. Motoki asks what she likes and she shyly answers tuxedos, He looks at her confused and she says she’s just kidding. They laugh and she thinks she shouldn’t have said that, because it’s a secret. Motoki says he’ll buy her some ice cream because its really good at the par. Usagi smiles brightly and exclaims she’s so happy. But as she watches him, the smile disappears. She wonders why even though she’s with Tuxedo Kamen, her heart’s not beating fast like it usually does. He smiles at her as he rows, and she thinks she must be wrong and has to stir things up. She splashes water at him with a grin and they laugh.

After the ice cream, they’re walking through the park when Usagi stops infront of a building. She happily suggests they go into the maze, but Motoki looks at her in fear and tries to back away, but Makoto pushes him inside in front of her. They looks around and Usagi exclaims on how much fun it looks. Motoki worriedly asks her if she has a handkerchief and she pulls a white one with big pink hearts on it out. They each hold an end and Motoki asks her not to get separated from him. they start to walk through the maze and Motoki ends up walking into a glass wall. Usagi asks if he’s okay and he answers in the affirmative. But when they reach out to each other, there’s a glass wall between them. They knock on it and Motoki suggests they go around and meet back around. But they fail to meet up, even though they turned in the same direction. they walk through the maze alone. Mamoru and Makoto have also gotten separated.

Outside, Rei sits with Takai who is now covering his nostrils with his thumbs. He assures her that it will stop his hiccups. Rei rolls her eyes and stands up with a sigh. Suddenly she looks around quickly, sensing something and catches sight of the straw youma. She runs after it with Takai behind her.

Back in the mirror maze, Usagi and Mamoru meet up. He sharply asks her where Motoki is and she answers that they got separated. Mamoru looks out the doorway of the room they’re in and tells her that Motoki doesn’t like this kind of thing.

In another part of the maze, Makoto finds Motoki sitting on his knees. she kneels down next to him, asking if he’s okay.

In the room, Usagi counters his question about Motoki by asking about Makoto; that it’s low to leave a girl alone. Mamoru retorts that it’s better than abandoning the guy she likes. Usagi yells at him that it’s none of his business and turns away. Mamoru grabs the handkerchief in her hand, changes his mind, then grabs her hand. She turns back, asking what he’s doing and he answers that if any more of them get lost, they’ll never get out. He pulls her along and she follows, staring at his back, wondering why being with him is making her heart beat fast.

Outside, Rei has followed the youma to an outdoor arena-like place with lots of colored seats and clowns handing out balloons. Looking around she wonders if she imagined it, since the youma is nowhere to be seen, and turns to walk away. Takai, who had followed her, is about to run over with a smile when the youma taps him on the back. Rei looks up as balloons fly through the air. Possessed by the youma, Takai has stolen the clowns energy. Rei cries out his name, but he smiles evily and hiccups, causing Rei to realize it’s a youma. “Mars Power...” but before she can finish, YoumaTakai steels her energy which leaves her and enters the turtle backpack, which is full of energy. Rei falls to the ground and YoumaTakai runs after the people who have scattered. Weakly, Rei pulls out her cellphone and calls Makoto.

Makoto and Motoki have made it outside, the latter gripping the bars of a railing, looking very sick. Makoto gets the call and runs off, contacting Usagi, who’s still inside the maze.

Usagi looks around for Mamoru, who’s nowhere to be seen, and thinks it’s okay. “Moon Prism Power...” Mamoru turns around at her voice and sees her reflected in the mirrors. “...Make-Up!” He watches the transformation in shock and as she runs down the hall, he stares after her, reflecting that he can’t believe what he just saw.

Sailor’s Moon and Jupiter run over to Rei, who’s still lying on the ground. Jupiter comments that the youma’s mean and Luna comes over and says it’s draining people’s life energy. YoumaTakai comes out after stealing a boy’s energy. Rei points to the backpack, then passes out. The youma separates itself from Takai, who falls to the ground unconscious. The youma picks up the backpack and starts to run, but Jupiter flips in front of it, and Moon flips over her shoulders, landing on the other side, cutting of it’s escape. She yells at it to give everyone’s energy back and a fight breaks out. The two senshi manage to knock the youma to the ground. “Supreme Thunder!” “Moon Twilight Flash!” Jupiter’s attack turns the youma into a lifeless bundle of straw and Moon’s attack hits the real youma behind them, destroying it in a flash of golden light. Moon smiles and says even she learns from experience. Jupiter shouts Usagi rock’s and they high-five. Then Moon remembers the backpack. Jupiter points to it and they run over, but a voice ordering not to touch it stops them. Jadeite steps forward. Jupiter thinks he’s a youma, but somehow Moon knows he’s not. Jadeite introduces himself as one of the four generals in the service of Queen Beryl. The name of the evil queen shocks Luna, who’s hiding behind a wall. Jadeite advances on the senshi and blasts them. The two cover their faces with their arms, but Tuxedo Kamen arrives and shields them. Jadeite stares at Tux, who’s presently holding off the energy. But Jadeite pushes it harder, causing Tux to fall to the ground, a hole burnt through his glove, cutting into his hand. Sailor Moon runs over to him, calling his name, but he tells her not to worry about him, and she notice’s Jadeite getting away. “Moon Tiara Boomerang!” hits the backpack, releasing all the energy which returns to it’s owners. Jadeite throws the bag to the ground and angrily vows to them he will destroy them, no matter what.

Sailor Moon spots Tux walking away, holding his injured hand. She runs after him as he takes the glove off and flexes his hand. Moon calls his name and he turns to her. She stops and ties her pink handkerchief around his wound, thinking about how her heart’s beating being near him. Tux thanks her and Moon apologizes that he got hurt protecting her. She asks why he always saves her and he turns away telling her that he doesn’t know why himself. She watches him leave and wonders about her own feelings towards him, when a voice calling her name interrupts her thoughts. Looking up she sees Sailor V standing on top of a building. V asks is she forgot her warning. Moon protests that she can’t seem to stay away from Tuxedo Kamen. Sailor V looks away murmeringthat destiny can’t be changed. Moon wonders at that, but V is already gone.

Takai stands up, his hiccups gone.

In front of the mirror maze, the three girls watch Motoki clutch the railing. Rei can’t believe Usagi thought he was Tuxedo Kamen, to which she replies that since he doesn’t have a wound, she was wrong. Rei sighs saying she made such a fuss over the stupid misconception. Makoto says it wasn’t stupid and the two girls glare at each other. Usagi looks up in the sky and wonders who Tuxedo Kamen is.

Mamoru is walking away when he stops and looks at the pink handkerchief on his hand. He still can’t believe Usagi’s Sailor Moon and remembers them floating in the bubble together and her laughing with Motoki. He leaves the amusement park, taking off the handkerchief and putting it in his pocket.
