Act 3

ACT 3

Usagi and Ami enter the Crown Karaoke Center and approach the counter where Motoki is once again staring at his turtle. Usagi walks up, flashes her passport, and continues on. Ami follows slowly behind and pulls hers out, which is in a leather card holder. She shows it to Motoki and timidly asks if she can get in with the card. He stares at her in disbelievement. Usagi returns and tells her of course they can, and leads Ami down the hall. Motoki looks back at the turtle and asks if they can get in with the passports.

Inside the senshi’s hidden room, the central floor is set up with podiums for each of them, answer buzzers, name cards, and spotlights. Usagi’s side is colored pink, and Ami’s is blue. Luna announces that it’s time for the first ever Sailor Senshi Quiz. She introduces Ami as Sailor Mercury then asks the first question: how many senshi are there left to find? Usagi enthusiastically hits her buzzer, but Luna ignores her and turns to Ami. Calmly Ami answers two. Luna holds up a sign with an O in it, meaning correct. Usagi complains that she knew the answer. Luna ignores her and asks the second question: What is the mission of the senshi? Usagi hits her buzzer and Luna turns to her. But her answer that the mission of the senshi is to fight youma causes her to be bathed in red lights and Luna holds up a sign with an X on it; not completely. Ami answers fully that their mission is to search for the princess and the Silver Crystal, and protect them. Correct! Confused, Usagi can’t remember what the Silver Crystal is, which draws a heavy sigh from Luna. After muttering that Usagi never listens to a word she says, she explains that the Silver Crystal is a very powerful jewel that could destroy the Earth in seconds. Usagi can only stare back wide-eyed. Luna turns on the TV to show them two images of Sailor V. (One of them is when she’s shaking her finger from the first act). Luna is very interested in knowing who she is and Usagi asks if she’s an ally while Ami suggests that Sailor V might be the princess they’re searching for. Luna says she’s going to investigate Sailor V and to use the cellphone if they need to contact her. She gives one to Ami and tells them to search for the other senshi. They nod.

At the Hikawa Shrine, a priestess, is sitting in front of the sacred fire when her eyes suddenly snap open.

In the forest, a girl walks along the path when a portal opens above her and a pair of monster hands grab her and pull her in.

Back at the shrine, the priestess’s eyes open again as the fire swirls around like the portal.

The next day at Juuban Middle School, Usagi’s sitting with her friends at lunch who are talking about the recent kidnapping of several girls. The newest one brings the total to six. One girl says the priestess at the shrine is cursing them while another one says that her spiritual powers are creepily strong and has a room where she curses people. Usagi is crouching next to her desk with her hands over her ears whining about hating scary stories. One of the girls chime in that when the girls heard the crows cawing, the priestess was not far behind them. Usagi yells for them to stop and Naru reassures her that there’re just rumors. Usagi sees Ami about to leave the room with her lunch and invites her to join them. Ami replies that she has work to do and leaves. Naru asks Usagi why she’s talking to Mizuno-san all of a sudden and calling her Ami-chan. Usagi doesn’t know how to answer.

After school Ami waits for Usagi, who joins her after saying good-bye to Naru. She asks why Ami wouldn’t sit with her at lunch, especially since they’re teammates and everything. Ami replies that since being a senshi is a secret, people might think it weird if they started to hang out together. Usagi looks down dejectedly as Ami starts talking about the recent kidnappings; that it could be a youma. Usagi returns to her normal self saying they should beat the youma while Luna is away. Usagi doesn’t get to finish her thought though, when she bumps into the priestess from the shrine, wearing her TA Girl’s School uniform. Usagi bows an apology, but the girl just glares at her before walking away. Usagi remarks that the girl is unusual as she and Ami continue walking. Then Usagi kicks something with her foot. She picks up a bead bracelet with R. E. I. inscribed on three of the beads. Usagi says she is going to return it and Ami should go on ahead. She runs after the girl leaving Ami standing there with a smile on her face.

The priestess, Rei, enters the Hikawa Shrine.

In another dimension, the youma dances around six unconscious girls, collecting their energy.

In the Dark Kingdom, Jadeite explains to Queen Beryl, that the energy from the captured girls should be the best because of their priestess status. She tells him not to mess up again.

Usagi enters the shrine grounds and tells herself that what her friend’s said about the priestess isn’t real.

Rei is in the shrine doing another fire reading after having changed into her priestess robes.

Usagi continues to look for Rei, and hears the caw of the crows. She remembers again what her friends said and jumps when someone asks who’s there. Turning around, she comes face-to-face with Rei, shrieks, and runs away in terror. Rei stares after her very suspicious. As Usagi runs away, she passes a girl wearing a TA Girl’s uniform.

Later that day, Ami is over at Usagi’s. The two are in Usagi’s room where she’s looking at Rei’s bracelet. Ami reassures her that the priestess is not cursing people, and Usagi says she’ll return the bracelet. Ami nods and mentions she has been gathering data on the kidnappings, to which Usagi tells her to relax. Ikuko-mama enters with some hot cocoa and she and Usagi start to tease each other. Ami stares at them, not knowing really what to say.

Meanwhile, Luna has tracked down Sailor V. She tries to get her attention, but the girl ignores her, continuing to jump from rooftop to rooftop. She them jumps down onto the street and keeps running. Luna does get a glimpse of the crescent moon on her forehead. She wonders if Sailor V is the princess.

The next day, Usagi returns to the Hikawa Shrine and sees Rei surrounded by a group of very unhappy girls. One of them has something Rei wants back, and won’t give back until she promises not to use weird spells anymore. Rei responds that it wasn’t a spell, but won’t say what exactly it was when asked. Rei tries to get her item back, but is pushed to the ground. The girls say it’s her fault that the other girls have gone missing and one of them mentions that she saw a girl running away from here the other day. Usagi pipes up that the girl was her, the crows had scared her, and to give the item back to Rei. They look at her in shock, then leave, giving the item back to its owner. Rei walks back to the temple, ignoring Usagi, but turns back when the girl calls her Rei-chan. Usagi returns the bracelet, mentioning that her name was on it, and that’s how she knew it, and then apologizes that the girls were being mean to her because she ran away. Rei says it’s okay and Usagi suggests she not use the item until the kidnappings are solved. But Rei answers that she has to use it for her own sake and, saying she has lots to do, walks away. Usagi watches her go.

Rei re-enters the temple and begins to do another fire reading.

Usagi meets Ami at the wedding center and the latter points to a priestess inside. She explains that all the victim’s were priestesses chosen at a festival. There are seven in all and this one is the last one. If they keep their eyes on her, then it might lead them to the youma. The two girls take out their cellphones and transform their uniforms into priestess robes.

Inside, they walk down the halls talking about Rei. Usagi says that everything they’ve heard are just rumors, even though it does seem she has strong spiritual powers, and she’s really a normal girl. Rei then walks by them and Usagi wonders why she’s here. Then a girl’s scream rents the air and the two of them run to investigate.

Back outside, Rei is standing next to an unconscious priestess when Usagi and Ami arrive. Usagi asks her what she’s doing and Rei turns, holding an anofuda. Ami thinks Rei could be the youma, but Usagi rejects the idea. “Akuryo taisan!” Rei throws the ofuda at the two girls, who duck, as it flies over their heads and hits a floating pile of leaves behind them. The pile falls to the ground as Rei runs over. She explains that she’s finally found what was causing the kidnappings. Ami calls for them to look out when the pile of leaves rises again and starts to spin. A portal appears as the youma’s arms come out and grab Rei, pulling her in. Usagi grabs Rei and gets pulled in as well. Ami pulls out her cellphone to call Luna.

In the other dimension, Usagi and Rei fall from the portal and hit the ground in a forest. Usagi, back in her school uniform, tells Rei to hide as she faces the youma. “Moon Prism Power! Make-Up! Ai to seigi no seera fuku bishoujo senshi, Sailor Moon! Tsuki ni kawatte, oshioki yo!” Rei watches, stunned, as Sailor Moon fights the youma. But the youma has the ability to manipulate vines and ties her up, leaving her hanging off the ground. She yells at Rei to run, to which the priestess starts to do as her bracelet glows red.

Meanwhile, Luna has joined Ami and tells her to transform. “Mercury Power! Make-Up! Mercury Aqua Beam!” She aims the attack at the portal.

Rei’s bracelet continues to glow and Moon watches in surprise as it turns into a transformation bracelet. She calls to Rei to transform; she’s a senshi too. The youma attacks Rei, blasting her with leaves, causing her to fall to the ground. Sailor Moon manages to work herself free and drops to the ground. Rei gets up from the pile of leaves. “Mars Power! Make-Up! Honoo no jonetsu no, Sailor Mars! Kasei ni kawatte, oshioki yo!” Moon shouts that Rei’s so cool as Sailor Mars fights the youma. “Youma Taisan!” The youma disappears and Mars stares at her hands in disbelief. The unconscious priestesses wake up as Sailor Mercury’s face appears in a bubble in the sky. She asks Moon if she’s okay and Sailor’s Moon and Mars help the girls through the portal. Mars follows and Moon is about to climb through when some vines wrap around her ankles and pull her back. Mercury and Mars watch helplessly when a cane comes flying through and breaks the vine. Tuxedo Kamen runs through the hole and stops by Sailor Moon. He grabs her hand, telling her to hurry, and they run towards the hole, which has started to close. He puts his hands on her shoulders and tells her to jump. They both dive through the portal just before it closes. Mercury runs over to her asking if she’s hurt. Sailor Moon shakes her head looking for Tuxedo Kamen, and sees him walking away. Mercury asks if he’s one of them, but all Moon knows is that he’s an ally; he saved her. Luna walks over to Sailor Mars and tells her that she’s the third senshi. Mars says she finally understands where her powers have come from. Moon calls to her, but Mars turns and walks ahead of them,, with a tiny smile on her face.

In the Dark Kingdom, Jadeite apologizes for his failure as Queen Beryl curses the Sailor Senshi.

Usagi tells Ami they should have a party to celebrate the third senshi, Rei. She runs ahead and links arms with Rei telling her not to go home yet because they’re going to celebrate being teammates and suggests they go sing karaoke. But Rei removes her arm and says she hates karaoke and she doesn’t want to be a part of their team. She walks away leaving Usagi and Ami to stare after her. “Huh?!”
