Chapter 3 - "15 Minutes of Fame"

In summer '03 the PCHS Senate sought to organize an ultimate tournament with food, games, and music for spectators. Port Chester Ultimate would host and finally get the chance to face other competition. Or would they? Despite efforts of both the Senate and Ultimate players, and promises of other teams, none showed. However, the day was not a complete failure, as a long and competitive game was held. Additionally, the local paper decided to do an article on the game of Ultimate with Port Chester's team as a focus. Players were interviewed and photos were taken. A half page article entitled "Ultimate Game: Frisbee is making waves as a sport in Port Chester" appeared in the Fri July 18, 2003 edition of THE ITEM. Click HERE to read the article
