FIELD OF PLAY
Offical field:
The official size of an Ultimate field is 40 yards wide by 120 yards long. The field of play is 70 yards with endzones of 25 yards at each end.

Our oldschool field:
In years past Port Chester Ultimate played without boundaries. Although no one deliberately would work out of bounds, it would occasionally happen. Inorder to become better players and possibly have more fun, we have fully incorporated boundaries. Afterall, what is better than stretching out for a disk while trying to keep your feet inbounds?

How we do:
We usually vary field size to the amount of people or what we want to practice. For instance, sometimes we use a narrow field to work on shorter quick cuts and practice dealing with clogging on the field. In another case, a shorter field can prevent fast people from relying on speed to get wide open. However, a long field can help prevent one throw touchdowns. For friendly games it is best to use a field that fits your needs, sometimes you do not have a choice.

Neccesity:
One consistancy we have is the use of shorter cones to mark the begining of the endzone and larger cones to mark the backs, allowing for some depth perception.
