GLOSSARY
The follwoing are terms, inside jokes, and sometimes nonsense uttered about or during games. These terms in no way reflect poper use of the king's English, but should be taken seriously nonetheless.

banshee cry: n, cry that breaks the boundary between the living and dead, possibly fading into the other world. Painful for the ear's digestion. Famously and exclusively uttered by Justin M.

bojangles: n, as in Mr Bojangles, used to describe a player that can be targeted by the sounds of his/her cloths. A useful technique in complete darkness. A term born of Paul Busta's pants.

bowling: adj, throw of any distance, but usually short, that rolls for an irratable amount of time.

bulbasaur: n, popular Pokemon known for its striking ability. Used to alert player to action. As in "Bulbasaur strike!" Can evolve into the more powerful ivysaur and finally venusaur. Use of Pokemon names is sometimes promoted on the field of play.

butter: n, substance that allows players to make slick movements. As in "covered in butter" or "rolled in butter."

chlorophyl: n, plant substance that harnesses the energy of the sun. Chlorophyl stains are the rewards of hard play. Are you down with chlorophyl?

corners: n, the small target area in the endzone where the endzone converges with the feild and boundary at a cone. As in "hit the conrner" or "hit the low-low."

cut: n/v, act of sprinting hard in one direction. Good cutting allows a player to escape from the defense and become open for a pass. This strategy is decidedly more effective than standing in place.

dave adj, when a throw-off goes ay out of bounds. Although Dave rarely does this, it bears his name, sorry Dave. As in "he/she pulled a Dave."

deep strike: n, act of cutting down the field, followed by a far throw and finally a completed pass. Like a hail mary, but with extreme confidence and less godly intervention.

disabled list: n, term used to describe players that repeatedly say they will come, but do not show up. Usually repeat offenders.

downtown albany: adj, term born from the depths a dilapidated city used to describe any play in which contact, epecially of the unneccassary variety, occurs. For example, and aerial hip check can be dubbed "downtown albany style."

drive-by: n, refer to the act of taunting or attempted insulting from a moving viehicle, allowing those in the car to avoid any confrontations but still get their jollies.

explode: , a word for all occasions; term used to get one to act, as in cut catch or throw.

floater n, when the disk sits in the air for an extended period of time, in most cases having more vertical movement than horizontal.

frisbee hangover: n, the negative feelings after a game, symptioms may include dehydration, headache, muscle soreness, scrapes, or exteme fatigue and laziness. Sleep and water are the best cures. Ice cream or teddy grahams have also been known to work.

frustration: n, the feeling a player has when no one shows up to play.

get big: v, does not actually mean to increase in size. To commit a big play and be figuratively large.

hammer time adj, a time where the hammer throw is used or needed, no paracutte pants required.

hankedelic: adj, process in which Hank makes a play so big it changes one's perception of reality. When Hank gets as big (refer to "get big") as his hair once was.

hardcore: adj, extreme in any and every way. Fearless, risky, stubborn, sacrificial and warranting respect. Harcore is a level many hope to reach but few achieve.

hard one: n, used to describe or request a powerful, all-out cut. As in "give me/him/her a hard one!"

headhunter: n, when a disk is thrown so it ends up perpendicular to the earth. Approaching the earth's surface at incredibly dangerous speeds, it will take your head off, so protect your neck. Memorably uttered by Ramon.

huck: n, a hopeful throw when there are little options, usually high in the air. Like a hail mary but distance is not necessarily great.

indescribable sounds: n, instinctive noises that trancesend language which are made when there is no time to think of or form actual words. Can be described as a growl, yelp, howl, screach, gasp, roar, etc.

kool aid man: n, the act of bursting out of a crowd to make a catch, Ohhh Yea!

liger skin: n, the result of mating a male lion and female tiger, the liger is the unnatural result of human greed, envy, and "ingenuity." Garments made of liger fur are rumored to give the wearer increased strength, speed, and magical abilities. Has PC Ultimate proven Napolean Dynamyte correct?

matrix: adj, used to describe an action in which a player dives in the opposite direction he/she is moving. The result is not full movement in the diving direction, but a slowed movement in the origional direction. Usually seem as a "matrix catch" or "matrix block."

magnet operation: n, operation in which magnets that attract disks are surgencally inserted into the fingers, making phenominal catches with little grip possible.

mega man dash: n, act of making a catch off balance or with intense momentum that results in the player sliding into the standing position.

monkey style: n, method of covering the handler in which monkey-like movements and sometimes sounds are made.

mr. fantasitc: n, when one stretches to the maximum to make a catch using extended and unbelievable reach.

mustard: n, beloved condiment used to describe disk speed or power. As in "too much mustard on that one" or "that one needed more mustard." Other condiments can be added for a variety of effects. For example, "That needed less mustard and more ketchup." However, the use of mayonaise is frowned upon.

mutant league: adj, when a field is in bad condition due to weather, rocks, pitfalls, trees, black holes, or any other obstacles. Characteristic of Crawford Park's small field. Named after the classic Sega game.

ninja: n, silient assasin of Japan. Used to describe anyone that exibits ninja-like movements or finess on the field. Place ninja infront of any term to emphasize a higher level of achievement. Similar to 'spiderman' or 'matrix' but better in every way.

no eye contact behind the back catch: n, catch made behind the back without the disk ever entering the player's view. Possible due to a sixth sense or use of power crystals. The only known instance was made by Pete.

one hundred hand slap: n, one of the ancient deadly arts of Hokuto no Ken, the act of rapidly striking the arms or body of a player making a play for the disk. When not used in a post apocalypic world, it is a dirty and illegal play.

pc ultimate: n, pc is an acronym for Port Chester, so pc ultimate is Port Chester Ultimate, not personal computer ultimate.

phantom: n, someone that moves about the field skillfully unnoticed, as if an apparition or specter. Unlike teleportation, this skill does not depend on speed.

platoon pose: n, there are times where words cannot describe one's emotions. This is achieved by dropping to one's knees and throwing ones arms in the air, in an outward, "Y" shape. For when the worst has occured or all hope is lost. Exemplified by Rich Duffy.

predator: n, when a player comes out of no where to make a defensive play, as if possessing the cloaking ability and predatory skills of the preadtor. Whipping dreadlocks help but are not essential

reuben's here: phrase that usually symbolizes the end of a game, usually includes a social gathering and skateboard on the field.

ride the wild: phrase describing a throw that uses wind gusts to its advantage. As in "Woa, ride the wild baby."

righteous block: n, a block using any body part other than the hands or feet. Block is righteous but player may not be all right. Body part termonology can be used to more accurately describe the action, for instance "righteous head block."

shorts: n, apparal worn around the waist and over the legs that lacks the length of actual pants, sometimes drastically. Shorts are light and airy, meant for activity in extremely hot conditions.

slam: v/n, the defensive act of knocking an airborn disk into the ground with arguably unnecessary force. In verbal form, the defender's name might precede the word "slam," which was alo followed by the number of blocks said player had that game. For example, "Presto slam number 1!" Although the actual slam is an effective and accepted defensive action, the exclamation was decidedly annoying and unnecessary.

snagglepuss: n, popular Hana Barbara character known for his pink fur and wild antics. Used to describe a catch made by reflex or a tough last second aerial grab. Coined by James DeVonna.

soloman: n, when a defensive player posses as an offensive player, waving and yelling he/she is open to the handler. As in "she/he pulled a soloman" or "you got solomanned."

spiderman: adj/n, used to describe an acrobatic aerial move, usually a catch or block that is difficult and impressive in appearance. Usually seen as a "spiderman catch" or spiderman block" or "dude you were like spiderman."

spin master: adj, someone that can put spin on the disk no matter how awkward the throwing motion also known as a spinster. Commonly used to describe Johnny D.

steroids and cream: n, mythical ice cream flavor of the gods that grants strength, popularly used in MLB.

style points: n extra respect or akknowledgement given for grandeur, sophistication and flair. Style points can even be given is the attemtped action is failed but is still impressive looking. As in "you missed it, but style points all around!"

super saiyan: adj/n, an extremely rare period where a player is extremely focused and feels no pain or fatigue, performing at his/her maximum level and inspiring teammates.

team friendship: n, when things get rough, you can always depend on friendship, rainbows, and unicorns. A term used to motivate teammates.

teddy graham: n, greatest snack ever, the exalibur of foods and nector of the gods. Chalk full of calcium, graham, and justice it grants its consumer the power of graham.

teleport: v, when a player moves so quickly he/she seems to vanish momentarily only to reappear either open for a catch or in position for a defensive play. Also known as instantaneous movement.

telepathy: n, a type of mental connection or communication seemingly exhibited when players react to one another instinctively. A rare power routinely exhibited by the Rothman brothers.

this is how we do it: phrase taken from the popular The Game & 50 Cent track "How We Do," used to describe someone that has an arrogent look and attitude but does not back it up on the field. As if the track actually plays in the background when that person is around, the person reaks of arrogance.

two bogies: p, phrase used to explain a possible 2 on 1. Number ca change depending on situation.

turkey call: n, Desperate times call for desperate measures, this is a sound for those times. Famously exhibited by Pete.

v-tec: n, used to describe a fast moving player that begins to move even faster, when top speed is reached and surpassed.

vortex throw: n, when a disk is thrown with such power or speed that it seems to shake and bend in flight, possibly tearing a hole in reality, transcending both time and space.

wasn't meant to be: phrase used to describe a situation where something, usually a catch, should have happened but did not due to unforseen circumstances like the wind. This may also be attributed to the wrath mother nature as in "mother nature wasn't feeling it."

woman's touch: n, certain situations call for a gentle but accurate touch, for instance a throw with finness.
