HISTORY

Tekoa was born on November 8, 2000, to Taima and Tilikum. He is Taima's second calf. Tekoa's brother, Sumar, was moved to SeaWorld San Diego in 1999. This was a result of Taima's agression towards him. Tekoa was also harrassed, so the trainers separated the two. He was taken in by Katina and Kalina, and fit in with their sons.

On April 25, 2004, Tekoa and half-brother Tuar were moved to SeaWorld San Antonio.

On February 13, 2006, Tekoa, Keto, Kohana, and Skyla were transferred to Loro Parque in Tenerife, Spain.
