HISTORY

Lara was born on February 8, 2001 at Kamogawa Sea World in Japan to mother Stella and father Bingo. Her older sister, Lovey, was born three years prior and was the first successful orca birth at the park.

Lara became a big sister on May 31, 2003 when Stella gave birth to another daughter, Sarah*. On February 25, 2006, Stella gave birth to a fourth daughter named Ran II. Both Lara and Lovey were present during the labor and delivery. Lara may have been with Stella during Sarah's birth as well.
