Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have puppies for sale?
No. Sorry, there are no puppies available at this time.

FAQ

When do you expect to have more puppies?
Check back in December, 2006 to see if a litter becomes available.

FAQ

How much does a puppy cost?
Several factors will effect the final price charged for each puppy. The total veterinarian bills required to ensure the health of the litter will be calculated into the asking price for each puppy. Licensing fees will contribute to the cost. Also, the weight of the puppy will help determine the final charges. Currently, the tentative prices for my Yorkie-Poo puppies begin at a mimimum of $600 each for the largest puppy and up to $700 each for the smallest.

FAQ

Can I reserve a puppy now?
Reservations for puppies can be made once it is determined that Matza is pregnant with another litter.

FAQ

If Matza has another litter, when can I pick up the puppy?
The puppies must be fully weaned, be at least eight weeks old, and have had their first set of vaccinations before anyone is allowed to take their puppy home. For concern over the health and well being of each puppy, I reserve the right to change the date when each puppy will be allowed to leave for their new homes. I must feel confident that each puppy is mature enough to venture out on their own.

FAQ

Do the puppies have their shots?
Puppies are scheduled for 3 sets of vaccinations at eight weeks, twelve weeks, and sixteen weeks of age. Before releasing a puppy to your care they will have at least received their first set of vaccinations. They’ll have had a thorough examination by a veterinarian and have gotten tested for parasites. I will pay for the puppy vaccinations only while they are under my care. If you take your puppy soon after the first check up at eight weeks, then you will be responsible for the cost and administration of the remaining vaccinations. Even though the puppies will have been examined by my regular vet, you are required to schedule an examination of your new puppy by your local veterinarian as soon as possible after you get the puppy home. I guarantee to provide a healthy, happy, and disease free puppy to you; however, once you take the puppy home, you are entirely responsible for it’s health and well being.

FAQ

What is your return policy?
Even though the law considers a pet to be personal property, I consider each puppy to be a member of the family. Therefore, I'll except the puppy's return under the following conditions.
- If you can provide proof of a licensed veterinarian's examination within two business days of the final payment and the subsequent diagnosis of poor health of said puppy, I'll accept the return of the puppy with a full refund for you. At that point in time, though, another puppy may not be available. Failure to immediately inform me of any problem, provide the documented vet diagnosis, and return the puppy as soon as possible, will result in the complete loss of any refund. This process is beneficial to both you and your pet. Establish a relationship with your own local vet immediately, get yourself a second medical opinion about your puppy's health, and guarantee your own peace of mind.
- If at some future date you find yourself unable to provide adequate care for the animal, for any reason whatsoever, you may return the animal to me without receiving any reimbursement for the cost of the dog. I'll then accept full responsibility for finding the dog a new home. If I'm able to resell the dog, I'll subtract my expenses and split the difference down the middle with you. However, at that time I'll be more concerned with locating a good home for the dog and less interested in making any financial restitution from the relocation.

FAQ

Do you provide shipping?
Puppies will not be shipped by me unless accompanied by the new guardian. Most young puppies will experience motion sickness when traveling to their new homes and someone needs to be available to clean and care for it during transport. You must make arrangements to pick up your new puppy and care for the animal while in transit to your home.

FAQ

Do the puppies have papers?
Details about animal registration are located on the “LICENSE” page, under the “INFO” section of “My Yorkie-Poo Pages” web site.

FAQ

What is your purchase policy?
The puppies are sold on a first come first served basis at my discretion. Until they are eight weeks old you can reserve a puppy by making a $100 deposit immediately. Initial deposits can be made by cash, a personal check, or a cashier's cheque. Initial deposits and final payments must include your name, a street address, and your home phone number. P.O. Boxes are not acceptable. The county of Los Angeles requires residency information for their records. All paymensts made by check must clear through my bank before the puppy will be released into your care. Final payments should be made in cash if you want to take your puppy home at that time. Bank charges for any bounced checks will be added to your total bill or subtracted from any warranted refund.
All prospective buyers will be required to read the licensing, breed, and purchasing policies on my web site after making their initial contact with me. Doing so should answer any questions they may have about my puppies. All other questions and concerns should be addressed to me vial e-mail, my preferred method of communication. Priority may be assigned to e-mail correspondence over any verbal contact via telephone.
All puppies will be quaranteed to be healthy and disease free when they are transferred to your care. The puppies will have been tested for parasites, given a physical examination by my vet, and, at least, received their first set of puppy vaccinations. An immediate physical examination by a local veterinarian of your choosing is required and must be documented. No refunds will be honored unless a licensed veterinarian documents their diagnosis within two business days after you pick up the puppy. This policy ensures your own peace of mind by providing a second opinion about the puppy's health and establishes a lifelong medical familiarity of the veterinarian with your puppy. Just like people, dog's are living creatures that require yearly medical and dental examinations to remain healthy and have a long happy life. The Yorkiepoo Breed page on the “INFO” section of my web site covers many of the health issues you might encounter by bringing a small dog into your family life.
I reserve the right to refuse to sell the puppies to anyone at any time for any reason without question. If I cannot provide the promised puppy after a deposit has been paid, a full refund will be made to the you. If you decide to withdraw your offer after making a deposit, incurring additional expenses on my part, then a minimum service fee of $50 may be charged and deducted from the refund. It is the responsibility of the buyer to fully read and understand the information provided on this web site before committing to the purchase of a Yorkiepoo Puppy described herein.
Los Angeles law prevents a puppy from being sold before the animal is a minimum of eight weeks old, and rightfully so. This ensures that a puppy will have at least received their first set of immunizations before leaving their biological family for a new home. In addition, puppies remaining longer with their biological family may develop better socialization skills that they may need when they encounter other dogs later during their adult life. On the flip side, the puppy also needs to be able to bond with their new family at as early an age as possible.
Many scams are in use today by con artists when it comes to buying and selling puppies. All policies described herein have the preliminary intent of avoiding such scams, prevent potential conflict, and guarantee the puppy's safety. Therefore, all visitors are required to provide their proof of residency before setting up an appointment to see the puppies. Your name, street address, and home phone number is required in advance, as well as providing your driver's license or State issued photo ID at the time of your appointment. My name and address will not be revealed until you have assured me that you have read and understand the Yorkiepoo information pages provided on my web site. Only afterwards, when a request is made to make a deposit or set up an appointment to visit my Yorkiepoo family, will my address be disclosed. No unscheduled visits will be allowed. No more than two visitors will be allowed at any given time without prior consent by me.
