A Thin Female

I often mistake this female with the smallest male because she has the same thin torso as the male puppy. The thin female has a small circular face. The two females are slightly smaller than the largest male puppies.

A Full Figured Female

This other female is the same length and height as the thin female. However, this female has a fuller torso that compares with the waist on the larger males. She has a slightly larger rectangular head that also makes her appear bigger than the thin female. I can only tell which female is which when they are side by side. When I hold one separate from the other without looking first I don’t know which one I’ve picked up.

The Alpha Male

There is no doubt that this is the Alpha Male of the litter. Covered with brown highlighting, the large rectangular head makes his firm stocky body appear small. All the other puppies eventually back down when he starts to throw his weight around.

Another Male

The other large male is the same size as the Alpha Male except for a diamond shaped head that isn’t sprinkled with as much brown. The torso may also be a little longer. The dark hair on his head makes the brown around his eyes look like he’s wearing an eye mask.

A Thin Tiny Male

The third male is slightly smaller than the female puppies. He has a shorter torso that is also the thinnest waist of the litter. The rectangular face is long and thin.

I think I can tell one puppy from another but I still have to check their sex to make sure. It’s easy to identify the smallest male and thin female from the two largest males when they are all standing together. Right now I can identify a few by the coloring in the hair on their head, but the puppy fur is growing out and constantly changing while making the puppies appear different from day to day.

Currently, the largest weighs approximately 2.5 lbs while the smallest is about 1.75 lbs, but my bathroom scale fluctuates and says I’m 20 lbs overweight so how accurate can it be?
