A new literary journal, published by Dublin Writers.
Poems: Poets have an opportunity to feature a representative
body of work, up to six poems. Up to ten poems may be submitted, a
single poem per page.
Short Stories: Short Story writers to feature stories up to
and including 3000 words. Longer stories will be considereed if
exceptionally good. Two MSS may be submitted at a time, and should be
typed in double spacing.
Photographs or Illustrations: Up to seven photographs or
illustrations, Black and White only.

Include comprehensive biographical details, including address, phone
number and details of any previous publications where applicable.
Successful submissions will be notified by post.

A national short story competition for stories which
have been previously unpublished or have not received awards in other competitions.
All entries should be typed on A4 paper and the story
should not be more than 2000 words in length. There is no entry fee
and no age limit, but only one entry per person is allowed. The
author's details are to be given on the official entry form, which
should be attached to the entry. Details are not allowed on the work, itself.
The title of the piece is to appear on each page.
Please do not bind, tape or staple your entry. Use paper clips only.
Work cannot be returned, so make sure you keep a copy.
While copyright will remain with the competitor, the
County Waterford Arts Office reserves the right to arrange the first
publication and broadcast of the selected works. The right to use the
stories to further publicise this award is also retained.
The winning story will be awarded £500. The
closing date for entries is 28th January.
