This is about my baby "Toad" who had a problem....
This is Toad...a broken chin english lop baby. He is 2 weeks old in this picture and was unfortunately put down later that day.
I noticed Toad had a problem about 3 days prior to me putting him down. His belly was pretty large and I thought maybe he had a blockage in his bowels, so I gave him a tiny drop of mineral oil to flush it out.
This is a picture of Toad on the same day as the picture above. This shows the damage done. His belly is actually as big as it looks.
I will have a picture of one of his littermates up tommorrow to show the difference.
I took him into the vet after no luck of getting him to poop or pee and we discovered then that he was not anatomically correct. He was lacking his genitals. He was so backed up with feces and urine that you could actually smell a faint hit of it if you held him close enough to your nose. (even though it was not coming out at all)
Here's a picture of his "private" area. It is very hard to get a close up of something so small! This is as good as I could get but once I put a picture of a littermate to compare you will notice what I'm talking about.
I will be posting comparison pictures for you all to see. This was definately something new to me, and from the sound of it many other people. If you have any questions about Toad feel free to email me.
