One of Canada's leading broadcasting companies, CTV (formerly Baton Broadcasting) owns the CTV Television Network and 24 Canadian TV stations (21 of those CTV affiliates are owned by the company). Among its specialty channel holdings are The Comedy Network, CTV Newsnet, The Sports Network (TSN), Outdoor Life Network, and Discovery Channel Canada. 
In 2000, CTV became part of Bell Globemedia, a Canadian media firm created through the combination of some of the media assets of BCE and Thomson Corp.
