| Lifespan Age Calculator Macro for Open Office .org is very easy to install and you only have to do it once for it to be available on all future documents. If you haven't already, download the installation package then follow the below instructions to install. | ||

Open up the downloaded installation package and double click on Use_This_Code.txt to open it in notepad. Don't worry about what the code means, you don't need to know. If you're interested, feel free to have a look. |

Press Control + A to select all of the code Press Control + C to copy all of the code to the clipboard Now you have the code ready to paste into Open Office |

Open up an Open Office.org Spreadsheet Select TOOLS / MACROS / MACRO |

The Macro window will open Left click on the Organizer button |

The Macro Organizer window will open. Left click on the New Module button on the bottom right. |

The New Module Window opens In the Name box type Lifespan |

Like so..... Then left click the OK button. |

Now we're back to the Macro Ogranizer and you can see that Lifespan has been added to the tree under Standard. Now we need to insert the code we copied, into the new Module. Left click on the Edit button. |

The Basic editor opens up with little fanfare. On most machines it will open up Full Screen. Don't panic. Press CTRL+A to highlight everything in the code editor. Press CTRL+V to paste the new code over what was there. |

Your screen should look like this after you have pressed CTRL+V. If it does press the X at the top right to shut down the Basic editor and you're ready to use the Lifespan Age Calculator Macro in any of your future spreadsheets. See, easy as pie! |
