Mildred's Garden

Back to Home Page

Here is the Hebe, looked in the bible, apparently they're native to New Zealand, the flowers range from mauve to white, also called veronica.
Like warmer climate and will grow in full shade or sun in warmer climate but prefer sun in cooler climate, we have them in both positions equally successfully I think they're one of those reliable indestructible gardeners fallback plants. Hebe is the proper name.

The fountain from the balcony, before shot, just to make people feel better about the messy bits of their garden The concrete edging is out of the bed I've finished renovating which can almost be seen behind the broom on the right of the fountain.

The fig tree, I love the way it looks from above, it looks great at night against a dark
background (There is actually another Hebe growing under it too, when mum first came to look at the house before we bought it she and the estate agent had a little feast of figs, one of the many things that made us buy).
