Lucky's Jerusalem Artichokes

This is a Jerusalem Artichoke when in flower. I had to tie it to a stake as it was so big. This is a member of the daisy family. The flowers make great cut flowers. I made the mistake of leaving too many flowers and so the harvest of tubulures was smaller in size than what they could have been. I think too much growth and sorts went into the flowering stage.
Here is the harvest after a heap of digging. I enjoyed the plant above ground rather than what we got underground. I missed a couple of tubers and they came up the following season.
