Gramps Garden Sept 04

Back to Home Page

Front: plants in the front have bulked out.  The Billybuttons are huge, rushes in the soak are doing well, the Correas (just off the verandah) are on show (despite the Four Legged Excavator breaking branches regularly).  The Poas against the side fence are screening well, and the Eucalyptus caesias are thriving and flowering.

Hardenbergias on the fence are in full show too!  The soak has filled twice in the past two weeks from rain runoff!

Paving: ... it's all still holding together and directing rain to the drainage as it should.

The grass and rear garden:
Highlights are the flowering
plants in the rightside foreground (Grevillea amongst others), and the kangaroo paws alongside the shed (constant flowering since last Spring!).
Drive: shows that the olives are tall! and the Poa grasses are absolutely thriving!  They work very well as a filter for the run-off in the gutters prior to entering the stormwater.
