VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIANS GOING TO INDONESIA

TRANSIT VISA

1.    Visa Application in duplicate duly filled in with two photographs (coloured) affixed.

2.    Sponsorship fax/telex from the ship management coompany in Indonesia addressed to and sent directly to the Consulate General, Mumbai. Two photocopies of the sponsorship letter to be attached to the application. The local shipping company should specify clearly whether the vessel will be plying only in Indonesian territorial waters or will be proceeding out of Indonesian territorial waters so that the appropriate visa could be issued.

 

TOURIST VISA

1.    Visa application in duplicate duly filled in with two photographs (coloured) affixed.

2.    Foreign Travel Scheme endorsement on passport with two copies thereof.

3.    Return or onward ticket with two copies thereof.

4.    Covering letter (typed) from the passenger requesting the Consulate to issue visa.

 

BUSINESS/SOCIAL VISIT VISA

1.    Covering letter (typed) from the Indian/local company (in case of business visa).

2.    Visa application in duplicate duly filled in with two photographs (coloured) affixed.

3.    Business visa: Invitation letter from the company in Indonesia. Two photocopies of the sponsorship letter to be attached to the visa application.

       Social visit visa: Sponsorship/invitation letter from the relative in Indonesia. Two photocopies of the invitation letter to be attached to the visa application.

4.    Return or onward ticket with two photocopies thereof.

       Note: The letter of invitation/sponsorship should be addressed to and sent directly by fax to the Consulate General, Mumbai stating the name/s of the persons invited, purpose, confirming responsibility during the invitees stay in Indonesia and requesting for the issue of the appropriate visa.

 

SEMI PERMANENT (EMPLOYMENT VISA)

1.    Visa application in duplicate with two photographs (coloured) affixed.

2.    Immigration Clearance from Indonesia direct by fax or telex to the Consulate General, Mumbai. Three copies of the Immigration Clearance to be attached to the application.

       Note: Accompanying wife and children including infants must obtain Immigration Clearance.

 

MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA

1.    Covering letter (typed) from the Indian/local company.

2.    Visa application in duplicate with two photographs (coloured) affixed.

3.    Intimation from the Immigration authorities in Indonesia direct by fax or telex to the Consulate General, Mumbai. Two copies of the immigration clearance to be attached to the application.

4.    One way ticket with two copies thereof.

 

 

NOTE:

1.    Visa applicants for Business, Socio-Cultural or Tourist Visa should ensure that their passports have a minimum validity of six months. For Limited/Temporary Stay Visa, the passport should have a minimum validity of eighteen months.

2.    All applicants for Business, Social Visit and Tourist Visa should have return or onward ticket(s) in original along with two photocopies upon submitting the visa application.

3.    Application for Tourist Visa should be accompanied by proof of sufficient funds to maintain oneself during the stay in Indonesia and a return or onward ticket.

4.    The letter of invitation for Socio-Cultural Visit Visa should mention: the name and passport details of the invitee, purpose of the visit, responsibility of the sponsorer & his/her designation, name, relationship (in case of family visit) and occupation of the sponsorer). For Business Visa, the letter of invitation should mention: the name and passport details (number, validity, nationality and profession) of the person invited, purpose of the visit, responsibility of the company, name and designation of the person signing the letter of invitation.

5.    Letters of invitation addressed to the invitee and copy endorsed to the Consulate General will not be entertained.

6.    Letters of Invitation from foreign individuals (including Indians residing in Indonesia) should be enclosed with a copy of their KIMS(s), while from Indonesian nationals should be enclosed with a copy of their Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP / ID Card) or copy of passport.

7.    The Letter of Invitation should be sent/faxed directly to: The Consul General, Consulate General of Indonesia, Mumbai.  (The Consulate’s fax number is:  (91-22) 3800941). 

8.    All letters addressed to the Consulate should bear the names and designations of the persons signing the letter.

 

VISA APPLICATIONS WILLNOT BE CONSIDERED/PROCESSED IF THE ABOVE STIPULATIONS ARE NOT ADHERED TO.
