Charlatos' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hi! As many of you undoubtedly know, I am a baker. I enjoy trading and swapping recipes with my fellow bakers as well as learning new techniques to make much more scrumptious and delicious baked goodness. I've been baking for most of my life now and do rather enjoy it. I currently can bake tarts with a variety of fillings on demand. Cake and Pie on the other hand comes very slowly as my self-heating baking boxes only gets warm once a day and I have no way to infuse extra heat into it.

Some day I hope to have better boxes to make more and to be able to choose the specific type of cake or pie I'd like to make, or perhaps a nice oven in my home that will allow me to make all sorts of pastry goodness. I'd like something to make my cookie recipes as well as muffins, cupcakes, and turnovers.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2/3 cup sugar (1/3 regular and 1/3 dark brown)

  2. ½ cup butter, softened. Just leave it on the counter for an hour.

  3. 1 large cockatrice egg

  4. ½ teaspoon baking soda

  5. ½ teaspoon salt

  6. 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour

  7. 1 vanilla bean

  8. A big bar of Elven Chocolate coarsely chopped

Directions

Make sure the oven is hot. Enough so the back of your hand heats to being too hot within 5 or 6 seconds. That should do it. While it's warming up, cream the butter and sugar together til it's smooth and creamy. Now, mix in the dry ingredients. Add the chocolate to it. Now, put the bowl on ice for about 30 minutes so it gets cold. This should give your oven plenty of time to get a warm and even temperature.

After the time is up, place large rounded teaspoons of dough onto your baking pan and cook them in the oven until they are light brown. Probably about 8-10 minutes will do if your oven is hot enough! Then remove them and sit them to cool. But you should eat at least one immediately while they are hot and falling apart, because that's the sane thing to do.

Enjoy!
