How does banking work?

|

What is Banking?

The silver coinage is the money used by everyone in Elanthia. The problem with silver coins is that they are heavy in huge quantities. Pickpockets are also roaming around hoping to get a share of your booties whenever possible.

Banks are safe places to deposit your silver coins. You can also withdraw silver in terms of monetary notes. Monetary notes can be in any denomination and they cannot be pickpocketed. Monetary notes can be used for EXCHANGE with other adventurers. Notes can also be stored in containers.

How do you Bank?
  • DEPOSIT (amount) will deposit your amount in silver coins.
  • DEPOSIT NOTE will deposit your monetary note, but you have to hold the note in your RIGHT hand.

  • WITHDRAW (amount) will take money out from your account. If the amount is large, you will automatically be given a monetary note.
  • WITHDRAW (amount) NOTE to take out the money in note form. Make sure your right hand is free.

There is a small processing charge for taking money out as monetary notes.

  • CHECK BALANCE will tell you how much money is in your account.
  • WEALTH will tell you how much silver coins and notes you are holding.

It's ok to do this in the bank because no pickpocketing is allowed inside the arch.

What if your note came from a different bank?
Silver coins are used throughout Elanthia. But, monetary notes are issued by regional banks. In order to deposit the money, you will need to go to the Exchange Booth and exchange the note to one you can use.

Go to the Exchange Booth, hold the note in your right hand, and EXCHANGE NOTE. Of course, there will be a small processing fee for the service.
