Seluus & Rubytears

[Lornon Temple]

A row of stained glass windows representing the gods of Lornon decorates the opposite walls of the temple. Between each window is a column that shows twisted human forms with arms stretched out to the sides, whose touching hands form arches over the windows. You also see a white ceremonial candle, the Lochraven disk, a black marble arch and a black marble altar.

Obvious exits: east, west.

THE ALTAR

Red veins streak the polished black marble altar surface, supported by the wings of four gargoyles. Their contorted faces are sculpted in such a way that a red streak crosses their eyes, forming thin slits of crimson.

THE PRIEST

Sakket Lamuur.
He appears to be a Dwarf.
He appears to be young. He has ale-brown eyes and tanned skin. 
He has receding, auburn hair. He has a tattooed symbol of V'Tull on his head.
He is holding a blood-red prayerbook in his right hand.
He is wearing a black spidersilk vest, a V'tull crest, some golvern studded
leather gauntlets, a deep red greatcloak, a V'tull crested tower shield,
a pyrothag hide shoulder scabbard, a dusky thigh-sheath, a purple and silver
kilt clasped with an enamelled Jakarta crest, some steel-banded black leather
boots emblazoned with a black scimitar flanked on both sides by fields of
red flames, and a black chain hauberk.

THE BESTMAN

Vlatimire Velidorn the Giantman Barbarian.
He appears to be wizened with age. He has hazel eyes and pale skin. He has
long, black hair. He has a curving band of blue tribal war runes tattooed
from above his right temple down to his jaw.
He is wearing some grizzly bearskin boots, a somber black leather battle-harness
etched with runes of war, a feather trimmed leather neckpouch, a grizzly
bear skin hat, a wickedly-curved vultite tongue ring, a ruby V'tull symbol,
a gold ring, a glassy black mica amulet, a translucent spidersilk backpack,
some battle-torn tribal armor etched with somber runes of war, and a weathered
grey traveller's cloak.

THE RINGBEARER

Siriel Cucunain the Illistim Elf Sorceress.
She appears to be mature and tall. She has sultry jade green eyes and tanned
skin. She has waist length, thick strawberry blonde hair worn in a single
braid. She has a delicate face and angular pointed ears.
She is wearing a leather pouch, a glimaerstone studded wrist sheath, a tiny
red skull-shaped earring, a red-winged rhimar mockingbird, a ruby-belled
gold filigree anklet, a black Arachne symbol, a ruby and sapphire heart band,
a diamond and ruby teardrop choker, a dainty frost opal brooch, an elegant
rosewood locket, a golden spidersilk wand harness, some supple side-laced
knee boots, a carved malachite tiara, a shiny silver waist chain, some silk-lined
black leather hunts, a softly-clinging skirt of the sheerest black spidersilk
worn low on the hips and gracefully slit from thigh to hem trimmed with tiny
serpent-shaped rubies, a romantically soft spidersilk bodice of the sheerest
black spidersilk with a low heart-shaped neckline trimmed with tiny
serpent-shaped rubies, an elegant white spidersilk vest embroidered with
a glittering golden halo resting upon a bright silver longsword on the back,
a cobweb-covered jet black spidersilk cloak edged with silver silk trim,
some lace-edged spidersilk gloves, a gleaming onyx nose ring, a black scroll
satchel, a gold ring, a twilight grey imflass shield, a crystal amulet, a
black silk backpack, and a beryl-inset imflass armband.

THE MAID OF HONOUR

Micha Flynche the Elf Woundmistress.
She appears to be very young. She has mischievous topaz-hued eyes and alabaster
skin. She has very long, dark brown hair streaked with strands of deep silver.
She is wearing a veniom-etched wedding band, a silver Brigatta pin, a
cobweb-covered jet black spidersilk cloak edged with silver silk trim, some
polished black leather boots, some black cotton tights, an ankle-length
spidersilk skirt, some shimmering black robes, a pearl-trimmed black silk
bodice, a pair of black pearl-clasped gloves, a pearl-studded cobweb choker,
a black pearl spider choker, a silver spider-shaped pendant, a small black
beaded handbag, a pair of pearl earrings, a pearly white tower shield, and
a jade-inlaid bright silver sheath.

THE GROOM

Seluus Do'zath the Giantman Soul Keeper of the Hammer Clan.
He appears to be wizened with age and very tall. He has piercing stormy grey
eyes and alabaster skin. He has shoulder length, tied back jet black hair
with a white streak running through it. He has a narrow face, a flaring nose
and a broad chest.
He has a red and black scimitar tattoo on his waist, a leering black demon
tattoo on his leg, a leering black demon tattoo on his forearm, a leering
black demon tattoo on his ankle, a tattooed symbol of V'tull on his finger,
a leering black demon tattoo on his neck, and a leering black demon tattoo
on his arm.
He is wearing a blood-red chasuble, some flowing ceremonial robes, some pitch
black polished boots, a black ruby-encrusted crown, a crimson glaes armband,
some black glaes-studded gloves, a crimson-edged onyx scimitar talisman,
a silver high priest's symbol of V'tull inset with a large blood-red diamond,
and a leather pouch.

THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE

Celtic Darak the Dhe'nar Dark Elf Archmage.
He appears to be very young. He has ale-brown eyes and fair skin. He has
short, silver hair. He has a braided silver ponytail, and a stalking wolf tattoo on his arm.
He is holding a flute of sparkling champagne in his right hand.
He is wearing a gold ring, a very large button that reads: DISKS FOR SALE!
1000 SILVER!, a bright gold satchel with "Celtic's Enchantments and Imbedding"
embroidered on the sides, a pair of black metal-framed spectacles, some black
and gold leather armor, an elven cloak with a number of gnawed holes in it,
some soft puma fur boots, an antique silver armband, a heavy black back sheath,
a glaes bracelet, a white spidersilk vest, a sable scroll case, a pure white
vultite shield embossed with a solid gold key, and a black Dhe'nar wand dispenser
engraved with the words "Chiucu d'rual d'cu Ko".

THE BRIDE

Rubytears L'Heureux the Human Empath from Talador.
She appears to be wizened with age and shorter than average. She has piercing
crystal green eyes and freckled skin. She has waist length, flowing red hair
streaked with silver. She has a delicate face, a freckled nose and rosy cheeks.
She has a black serpent tattoo on her thigh.
She is wearing a sheer black spidersilk veil jeweled with faceted ruby teardrops,
an elegant silver locket, a pair of elegant black leather slippers beaded
with ruby teardrops, a black leather choker, and an elegant black leather
gown with a ruby teardrop-trimmed bodice and gathered full skirt.

THE CEREMONY

As Seluus enters the room; a roar fills the air from all corners of the temple. The clamor quickly takes on the sounds of wild cheering. From the corner of your eye you catch a flickering image of a towering figure with marble white skin and eyes of purest black. Gathered around the figure is a shadowy horde, arms raised in triumph. As you turn to look, the image fades.

Blood red rose petals rain down from the sky as Seluus approaches the altar.

Seluus turns and faces the precession.

The wispy fog parts as Rubytears enters the temple. Trailing in her wake are serpents of every shape and size. As she approaches the altar, the serpents disperse to slither among the gathered crowd.

Celtic leans to his left slightly.
Sakket smiles.
Rubytears blushes a nice shade of rosy pink. Sakket raises his blood-red prayerbook skyward!
Sakket bows.
Sakket smiles and opens the prayerbook.
Sakket recites:
"Let us Pray!"

Sakket gazes heavenward.
Sakket recites: "For the Glory of V'tull! And the subjugation of the lands! We march forth with honor and blood to avenge the betrayal of our heathen kind! All races will bow before us as is our chosen right!"

Seluus hangs his head.

Kismia pointedly refuses to pray in this temple.

Sakket recites:

"We will stand at last upon the pinnacle of the world and speak with eyes unbowed before our Dark Father! We have but to possess the stones of power, upon those foreign shores, "

"And V'tull's will shall guide us! The Father of Darkness shall descend upon our enemies, and destroy them in his holy fires as our just hand weilds the scimitar of his righteousness!"

Celtic leans forward
Sakket recites: "Amen"

Sakket smiles.

Seluus exclaims, "Amen!"

Sakket recites:

"We are gathered here today to witness the union of a Great man and a Great Woman. By the distant stars and by the deepest seas, my soul beams with the excitement of this night. Our father in the heavens looks down with great favor this eve. To bond to powers of such great magnitude together."

Sakket smiles at Seluus & Rubytears.
Sakket recites:

"Seluus, wilt thee have this Woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Wilt thee love her, comfort her, honour, and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all other, keep thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live? "

Seluus smiles and says, "I will"
Sakket smiles at Seluus.

Sakket recites: "Rubytears, wilt thee have this man to be thy wedded husband, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Wilt thee obey him, and serve him, love, honour, and keep him in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye both shall live?"

Rubytears says, "I do."
Sakket smiles at Rubytears.

Celtic removes a City-States promissory note from in his spidersilk vest.
Sakket nods.
Celtic offers Rubytears a City-States promissory note and says,"Good girl."
Celtic nods.
Rubytears accepts Celtic's promissory note.
Rubytears smiles at Celtic.
The guests laugh scatteredly.

Sakket recites:

"Who giveth this Woman to be married to this Man?"

Celtic scowls.
Celtic says, "Dat be me...."
Celtic says, "Again."
Sakket smiles at Celtic.

Celtic says, "This time.."
Celtic says, "It'll stick."
Celtic nods and says, "I just paid her to."

Seluus clasps Rubytears's hand tenderly.
Seluus smiles at Rubytears.
Rubytears blushes a nice shade of rosy pink.

Sakket smiles and nods.

Sakket recites:

"The groom and bride would now like to share with everyone there own personal vows."

Sakket nods to Seluus
Celtic stares off into space.
Seluus coughs.

Seluus recites:

"I, Seluus wed you, Rubytears and pledge to build with you a place of love, nourishment and happiness within our hearts and within our home."

"I pledge you love, honor and trust. love, both soft and tender and love suffused with passion and playfulness"

"Love which will honor your inner deity, endure hardship and nurture honesty, trust and devotion."
"I pledge to support and cherish your growth in adventure"

"To explore with you the wonders of life to hold you in my love when you are ill or sad and to nurture your healing, growth, development and actualization."

"As you evolve so shall I for we are as one and reflect one another."

"I promise to create a home with you that shall be a haven for us both, a place of welcome for family and friends, and a place of comfort in times of sorrow."

"I promise to love, honor, protect and nourish you as long as we both shall live."

Rubytears gazes fondly at Seluus.
Sakket nods to Rubytears.

Celtic says, "Maybe I should have paid him."
Lochraven shifts her eyes to Celtic.
Bobmuhthol gazes in awe at Seluus.
Dryxler grins.
Sakket smiles.
Rubytears sighs.
Bobmuhthol exclaims, "Now we gotta do it again for the stragglers!"

Micha sticks a roll of socks in Bobmuhthol's emphatic mouth.
Celtic rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Rubytears nods to Sakket.
Seluus gazes fondly at Rubytears.

Sakket recites:

"May i have the rings wich will bond you two forever?"

Siriel removes a ruby-flecked black ring box from in her spidersilk cloak.
Sakket accepts Siriel's black ring box.
Siriel removes a small ruby red ring box from in her scroll satchel.
Siriel offers Sakket a small ruby red ring box.

Micha whispers slightly to Ruby, "Sorry, I thought I stuck a sock in it!"
Micha coughs.
Nevrek removes a blood-red prayerbook from on a black marble altar.
Nevrek tilts his blood-red prayerbook side to side, making the light play off it.
Sakket smiles.
Micha frowns at Bobmuhthol.
Bobmuhthol turns to Micha and cheers!
Siriel smiles at Rubytears.
Sakket raises his black ring box skyward!

Sakket recites:

"These rings are a symbol of the unbroken circle of love. Love freely given has no beginning and no end, no giver and no receiver for each is the giver and each is the receiver. May these rings always remind you of the vows you have taken."

Sakket offers Rubytears a ruby-flecked black ring box and accepts it.
Sakket offers Seluus a small ruby red ring box and accepts it.
Sakket recites:

"Recite after me"

Sakket smiles at Rubytears and Seluus.

Seluus and Rubytears gaze fondly at each other.
Sakket recites:

"Seluus and Rubytears kneel please"

Seluus and Rubytears kneel before the altar.
Sakket removes a blood-red prayerbook from on a black marble altar and raises it skyward.. Sakket raises his hand.
Sakket gently touches Seluus then Rubytears.

Sakket recites:

"If i have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all the mysteries and all the knowledge, and if i have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, i am nothing."

"If i give all i possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, i gain nothing."

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered it keeps no record of the wrongs."

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protect, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

"Amen"
"Stand please"

Seluus gazes fondly at Rubytears.

Rubytears and Seluus stand up.

Nevrek glances around, then kneels slightly and pretends to stand up.

Sakket recites:

"Those whom God hath joined together let no man put asunder.

"For as much as Seluus and Rubytears have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and thereto have given and pledged there troth each to the other, and have declared the same by giveing and receiving of a ring,
and by joining of the hands, I pronounce therefor that they be Man and Wife!"

"You may now kiss the bride!"

As the bride and groom embrace and kiss the temple is filled with rising cheers and shouts from every corner.
A faint hissing can also be heard. Silvery fog fills the area as the sound fade away.

Darksnake throws a handful of confetti up into the air, and it floats down in a cloud all over the area! Lochraven throws a handful of blood red rose petals up into the air, and it floats down in a cloud around Rubytears!

Vif throws a handful of scorched black rice up into the air, and it floats down in a cloud around Seluus!

Seluus recites:

"I have prepared a poem for Rubytears"

Jypsie surveys the area.

Rubytears smiles at Seluus.
Celtic says, "You got her to say I DO.."
Celtic covers his ears and exclaims, "No more poems!"
Seluus coughs.
Weewillow giggles.
Vif touches one finger to her lips.
Exttior grins.
Mersteel says, "A wedding to remember....I actually saw Celtic part with silvers"
Celtic nods to Mersteel.
Celtic says, "It was for 1 silver."

Vlatimire recites: "Everyone quiet please"

Seluus leans on Rubytears.

Seluus recites:

"Love is blind, some would say I feel it every day No fences to hold it in But with other senses can it be weighed"

"The sense of smell drives me wild I've never known defeat And to taste her lips, so divine My heart falls to my feet"

"To touch the softness of her skin I yearn so more each day Her sweet voice quickens me I hope it never fades."

Seluus gazes fondly at Rubytears.
Rubytears gazes fondly at Seluus.
Rubytears just kissed Seluus on the mouth.
Kaedra says, "aww, how sweet"
Vif exclaims, "Congratulations you two!"
Vlatimire applauds Seluus.
Darksnake exclaims, "congradulations!"
Mirea weeps softly, quiet tears falling from her eyes.
Macatac exclaims, "Congrats!"
Salvitin exclaims, "Congratulations!"
Rubytears says, "Thank you all for coming."
Seluus says, "aye, thank you all"
Violenttmoon says, "congrads to you both."
Mirea exclaims, "congratulations!"
Rubytears kisses Seluus on the lips. She doesn't seem to want to stop.
Sakket recites:

"May this candle burn as bright as your love does for each other!"

Genorah recites:

"If everyone will move onto the reception area, I need to borrow the bride and groom for just a moment."

The guests congratulate the couple and follow the others to the Crypt where the reception is held.

THE RECEPTION AREA

[A Large Crypt]

Polished gold braziers line the walls, the light of the flames within reflecting on the black marble. A pair of columns in the shape of contorted bodies frames the door, and a border with the same design has been inlaid on the floor in gold. You also see the Lochraven disk, a handful of spider-shaped confetti, a refreshment cart with some stuff on it, a small table with some stuff on it, a black marble arch and a large crystal bowl.

THE WEDDING BANDS

This exquisitely crafted band has been wrought from intertwined gold and silver, polished to a gleaming luster. A silver serpent inset with ruby teardrops clutches a finely-cut black diamond, wrapping around the gem protectively. There appears to be something written on it.

His: Engraved onto the band are the words "To my Heart and Soul, I always love you, Rubytears"

Hers: Engraved onto the band are the words "'And with my heart and soul, Love you always, Seluus" .
