Brakian & Marinzol

[River's Rest, Narrow Point]

Surrounded by water, this narrow strip of beach offers a clear view of Maelstrom Bay and a larger body of water to the south. Small shells litter the beach and an occasional crab scuttles quickly to the safety of the water, leaving a tell-tale track in the soft sands which is soon erased by the gentle breezes. To the east, the mainland seems far away from this quiet and peaceful corner of the island. You also see a large black pearl, some polished red coral, a white opal, a blue sapphire, a green sapphire and a grey wolf who is sleeping.

Fremie gazes out over the bay.

Hyssopp says, "We ask that when the ceremony begins..that ye keep movments and hair balls to a minimum"

Hyssopp says, "Out of respect to the couple."

Fremie says, "aye like don't tell the bride her dress is on backwards"

Fremie nods to Allequerie.

Allequerie asks, "Do we gets to cheer one or the other on?"

Allequerie peers quizzically at Hyssopp.

Ylena says, "Some dresses are better backwards."

Ylena shrugs.

Metadi says, "Jes' make sure neither of them can escape.."

Fremie grins at Ylena.

Kassy laughs!

Rhaindrop hiccups!

Bialstoc chuckles.

Jerlilth asks, "Catcalls durin tha vows?"

Hyssopp asks, "Would ye like to add anything?"

A field mouse scampers into the area.

There is a twinkle in a brown mouse's eyes.

Metadi says, "Only if ye're nae a fan of subtlety, fremie."

Jerlilth says, "All us know that but tha womenfolk dont"

Rhaindrop snickers.

Vurkanaan says, "All of ye gathered here this eve...are close friends and family of the bride and groom."

Kassy removes a dead mouse from in her leather tool satchel.

Vurkanaan says, "Tonight we will all be celebrating their union with good spirits and honoring them together."

Allequerie twitches her whiskers, considering the mice.

Rhaindrop's face turns slightly pale.

Fremie glances at Rhaindrop.

Rhaindrop clears her throat.

A pained expression crosses Bialstoc's face.

Metadi removes some ephlox moss from in his eel skin boots.

Rhaindrop begins to do her best to mend her wounded leg.

Rhaindrop stares off into space.

Metadi offers Rhaindrop some ephlox moss.

Rhaindrop says, "false alarm"

Rhaindrop coughs.

Kassy scratches idly at the mouse in her hand.

Rhaindrop says, "please continue"

Fremie leans towards Rhaindrop and whispers, "I think the carpet is already red..."

Rhaindrop declines Metadi's offer.

Rhaindrop stares off into space.

Ylena edges away from bleeding limbs.

Rhaindrop blushes and babbles a few incoherent words, looking sincerely flustered.

Vurkanaan says, "One and all..."

Metadi put some ephlox moss in his eel skin boots.

Metadi touches one finger to his lips.

Brakian's group just arrived.

You touch one finger to your lips.

Vurkanaan says, "I'd like to introduce ye to the bridesmaid and best man... Bialstoc and Arlia."

Vurkanaan coughs.

Rhaindrop grins at Bialstoc.

Arlia smiles at Brakian.

Metadi grins.

Bialstoc moves to stand behind and to the right of Brakian.

Brakian strides meaningfully toward the cleric, hands folded behind his back.

Hyssopp clears her throat.

A grey wolf pads into the area.

The guests stand up and watch as the bride enters.

Marinzol blushes softly, as she walks slowly in.

Ylena whispers to Rhaindrop, "Goddess, what a lovely gown she's wearing.."

Brakian fidgets.

Brakian gazes fondly at Marinzol.

Rhaindrop whispers to Ylena 'I wonder how many bottle of rum she can fit in there.'

Marinzol turns her eyes towards the front where Hyssopp, Vurkanaan, and Brakian stand, striding along beside Sinzarie slowly.

Sinzarie leads Marinzol up to Hyssopp and Vurkanaan.

Fremie tips his cap respectfully as Marinzol passes by.

Fremie smiles.

Marinzol and Sinzarie come to a halt right before Hyssopp and Vurkanaan.

"Guest please be seated."

The guests sit back in their seats eagerly awaiting the ceremony to begin.

Hyssopp recites:

"Who gives this bride to be wed?"

You idly pick at a blue and white feathered quill.

Sinzarie says, "By the spirit of the Wolf and the Wyld I give this Lady. "

Jipzy beams happily at Sinzarie!

Sinzarie nods to Hyssopp.

Fremie just touched a dark onyx wolf talisman.

Marinzol smiles softly.

Sinzarie steps off to the side and sits down.

Hyssopp recites:

"Brakian come forth with Marinzol to stand before us."

Brakian clasps Marinzol's hand tenderly.

Sinzarie smiles at Marinzol.

Hyssopp recites:

"Friends, today we gather to watch the blossom of between Brakian Warbringer, member of the Black Velvet Band, and Chosen and Priest of Gosaena.."

Brakian walks slowly, holding Marinzol's hand tenderly, toward Hyssopp.

Hyssopp recites:

"And his beloved, Marinzol Falcaste...Daughter of long missing town bardess, Coricopat, and member of the Wolf Clan..to reach a fuller bloom."

Hyssopp recites:

"And devoted child of Lumnis.."

Marinzol gazes fondly at Brakian.

Brakian gazes fondly at Marinzol.

Hyssopp recites:

"Before I continue, be there any here who can provide reason for this union not to proceed?"

Hyssopp smiles and a smile that dares not allow protest to arise.

Brinnea grins impishly.

Jarmus appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Hyssopp nods.

"Then we shall continue.."

You nod.

Vurkanaan nods.

Hyssopp recites:

"First, Lady Ylena ..has a song to share with this gathering."

Kismia smiles warmly.

Metadi smiles.

Ylena smiles thoughtfully.

Vurkanaan smiles at Ylena.

Sinzarie smiles at Ylena.

Deliberately, Ylena wraps her hand around the neck of her lute, sets her fingers to the strings and begins to play.

Marinzol smiles at Ylena.

Ylena makes a dramatic change in the song's dynamics, sweeping from soft to loud in a sharp crescendo then back into the middle ranges.

Ylena sings: 

    "A dark night, a dark place,
     A man and woman kneeling,
     Shadows shift across his face,
     The light is unrevealing."

Ylena sings: 

    "A quiet kind of confidence,
     A certain sense of peace,
     A foreordained togetherness -
     No whimisical caprice."

Ylena bridges her song into a new key, taking it to new heights of intensity.

Jarmus leans forward and rests his chin in his hand, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Ylena sings: 

    "She brushes his cheek softly,
     Her nails graze his skin,
     A shudder shakes his sturdy frame
     His face, a lurid grin..."

Ylena sings: 

    "A languid glance, a whispered word,
     A vow before the throng,
     A bond the Gods have overheard,
     Entwined for all lifelong."

Ylena plucks her instrument's lower strings, adding a driving bass foundation to the melody.

Ylena sings: 

    "Their hands brush, their fingers clasp,
     The shadows claim their forms,
     We smile, those who are their friends,
     Bless love - both cold and warm."

With a final dramatic flourish, Ylena takes her fingers from the strings, letting the notes fade into a profound silence.

Tontas smiles.

Tontas sits down.

Marinzol gently places the green sapphire in the sand.

Marinzol drops a green sapphire.

Marinzol raises her blue sapphire skyward!

Hyssopp recites:

"Oh Lumnis..bless this symbol of spirit that they may also bless this union."

Marinzol encloses the sapphire in her hand, then gently places it down in the sand, letting it roll off her fingers as it drops.

Marinzol raises her white opal skyward!

Hyssopp recites:

"Oh Lumnis..bless this symbol of order that they may also bless this union."

Marinzol carefully places the opal between the other two gems.

Marinzol raises her red coral skyward!

Hyssopp recites:

"Oh Lumnis..bless this symbol of fire and the planes that they may also bless this union."

Marinzol places the red coral in the sand, near the other stones.

Marinzol raises her black pearl skyward!

Hyssopp recites:
