[Oleani's Temple, Wedding Bower]
Sculpted rose bushes ring the bower, their
thin trunks adorned with violet ribbon streamers. A white silk runner covered
with scattered rose petals of all colors extends towards a trellis sheltering
a statue of Oleani and Phoen in a passionate embrace. A small grove of tanik
trees barely conceals two tiny cottages from prying eyes. You also see a
small grove of tanik trees and a slate path leading out of the bower.
THE WITNESSES:
Lady Lyndel, Lord Paole, Lady Nashara, Lord Sirke,
Lady Majec, Lord Allentra, Lady Avira, Lord Quaedii,
Lady Songie, Lady Angellisa, Lord Chuckaar, Lord Tyranik,
Wholie, Lady Midnyghtmyst, Lord Aldavis, Lady Annilyssa,
Spaewife, Misury, Teramarus, Lady Zhao,
Lord Guwain and Lord Aldukar
THE CLERIC:
Lady Majec
She appears to be in her 50's, has very long golden
blond hair,
violet eyes, and pale skin. She has a delicate wild rose
tattoo on her ankle, a moon and stars tattoo on her thigh,
and a crescent moon tattoo on her finger.
She is holding a ritual dagger in her right hand
and a leather-bound prayer book in her left hand.
She is wearing a pure white clerical robe,
a braided ruby-encrusted cord, an embroidered white silk cloak,
some intricate ivory prayer beads, a white lily,
a crown of snow white blossoms, a golden lover's locket,
a wedding ring set with a single
diamond encircled by two kissing doves,
a pair of diamond earrings each crafted
into the image of two kissing doves,
and a copper twining ivy anklet.
THE GROOM
Lord Aldukar
He appears to be in his 120's, has long,
straight red hair, dark eyes, and very dark skin.
He has a series of coppery mystic runes tattooed
from above his left brow down to the join of jaw and neck.
He is wearing a veniom-threaded midnight black
wizard's hat adorned with glittering shards
of obsidian in a spiral pattern, some fire mage's
casting gloves imbedded with soulstones i
n each palm surrounded by tiny silver lightning bolts,
a pair of elegant rolaren spectacles with one lens
made of the darkest obsidian and etched
with the symbol of Fash'lo'nae, some black silver-edged breeches,
and an elegant black velvet jerkin.
Majec smiles and says,
"if everyone can take a seat the bride will be
arriving shortly"
Lady Debia enters the slate path leading out of the
bower,
& gracefully walks toward the statue of Oleani,
then takes her rightful place beside Lord Aldukar.
THE BRIDE
Lady Debia
She appears to be in her 120's, has shoulder length,
curly dark brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin.
She has a delicate wild rose tattoo on her neck,
a black unicorn tattoo on her thigh,
and a twining ivy tattoo on her waist.
She is holding a small bouquet of white roses
and tiny blue carnations held together
with a strip of blue silk in her left hand.
She is wearing a lace-trimmed white silk veil,
a pair of silver elven hairclips, a tiny silver eyebrow ring,
a dark hooded cloak, a single crystalline teardrop,
a lustrous celestial blue gown with a snug diamond-dusted top
gilded by silver veniom ribbons and sheer layers
of moonlight silk that falls gently from the waist
to form a sweeping skirt, a diamond engagement band,
a binding of delicately gathered veniom-threaded ribbon,
and some diamond-dusted slippers.
THE CEREMONY
Majec says, "I'd like to thank everyone for
joining us here today to be part of this glorious event."
Majec smiles at Aldukar & Debia.
Majec says, "Each of us has entered these lands and
walked alone, hoping to find that special someone to share our lives with.
Those who do are truly blessed."
"We are here today to give our blessings of happiness
and love to Lord Aldukar and Lady Debia as they immortalize their love by
joining together as husband and wife."
"Before they proceed into this holy bond, I ask if
any here have objections to this union. Speak now and be peaceful." Aldukar
smiles into the crowd, a menacing glint in his eye makes it questionable
if anyone should speak up. Debia grins.
"Lord Aldukar and Lady Debia will be joined body and
soul in the ceremony of blood."
Debia & Aldukar offer Lady Majec their wrist.
Majec makes a blessed symbol with her ritual dagger then makes a small cut
on Aldukar's wrist and then on Debia's wrist. Majec ties a raw silk strip
stitched with ancient runes of love around the wrists of Aldukar and Debia,
binding them as one.
Majec says, "By the joining of their blood, Aldukar
and Debia are bound not as just husband and wife but also as a union of one."
Aldukar clasps Debia's hand tenderly.
"Lord Aldukar and Lady Debia will now exchange personal
vows." "Aldukar, if you would go first please."
Aldukar nods to Majec. Majec smiles at Aldukar.
Aldukar turns to face the guests.
Aldukar recites:
"As I stand here today before my friends and family,
a sense of pride wells up in me."
"Very few are as fortunate as I to be surrounded
by so many great people who care about and cherish this land."
Aldukar smiles at you all.
Aldukar recites:
"So, with your blessings, I endeavor to enter
into a new union, one with the lovely Debia."
Aldukar turns to face the lovely Debia.
Aldavis grins.
Aldukar gazes fondly at Debia.
Aldukar recites:
"For quite some time I have sought someone to
share my days with. Seeking one whose touch brings life back into these old
limbs, whose smile brings happiness to my heart, and whose very presence
makes me feel warm and loved. And, finally, I have found this
person."
Aldukar smiles at Debia.
Debia blushes a nice shade of off-pink.
Aldukar recites:
"Dearest Debia, you are everything that I could
ever hope for in a person. From the moment we first met, I knew there was
something special about you, something intangible and precious. From that
day on, I swore to have you as my wife. I flirted and talked and nudged and
flirted and...and...umm...did I say flirted? And slowly but surely I worked
my way into your life. And now that we stand on this altar together, committing
ourselves to this great event, I make these vows unto you:"
Aldukar recites:
"I vow to stand by your side in all things, to
aid you, to love you, and cherish you 'til the end of time. Let no man nor
woman nor devilish critter stand between us for our love will surely see
us through all things."
Aldukar mutters and-flirted.
Aldukar coughs.
Debia giggles.
Aldukar turns back to face Majec.
Majec smiles.
Majec nods to Aldukar.
Majec says, "Debia, your vows please."
Debia says, "When I first met you on Teras, I had
lost all hope of ever finding the right person for me. Up until that point,
all of my relationships had not only failed, they failed
miserably."
Debia grins.
Debia says, "I thought that maybe I was doing something
wrong - or that there was something wrong with me. I felt that my past
relationships failed because of me - something I didn't do right, something
I should have done but didn't. I lost hope and I thought to myself that I
would never find happiness..."
Debia squeezes Aldukar's hand
affectionately.
Aldukar grins.
Debia gazes fondly at Aldukar.
Debia says, "...and then I met you."
Aldukar gasps.
Debia takes a deep breath before
continuing.
Debia says, "You have been my very dear friend
since we started hunting together on Teras. Slowly but surely you showed
me how wrong I was. You showed me that the other relationships were in no
way right for me. You showed me how to trust again, and most importantly,
you showed me how to love once more. You showed me that I don't have to be
insecure with you, that trivial things wouldn't come between us."
"Today, I promise to stay by your side as your
faithful and loving wife, through sickness and in health, through joy and
through sorrow. I promise to share your hopes and dreams, to love you without
reservation, laugh with you, cry with you, encourage you to achieve all your
goals, grow with you in mind and in spirit, always be open and honest with
you, and to cherish you for as long as we both exist."
Aldukar says, "awww...."
Majec smiles.
Aldukar tries to hide a tear...
Aldukar sniffs.
Majec nods.
Majec asks, "Do you, Aldukar, take Debia to be
your beloved wife - to love and cherish her forsaking all others as long
as you both exist?"
Aldukar says, "Yes. Yes, I do."
Aldukar gazes fondly at Debia.
Aldavis smiles.
Majec says, "Allentra, please give the ring to
Aldukar."
Allentra offers Aldukar a sapphire and silver wedding
ring.
Aldukar accepts Allentra's silver wedding ring.
Majec says, "Aldukar, by giving your ring to Debia,
you are sealing your eternal promise to her."
Aldukar nods to Majec.
Aldukar offers Debia a sapphire and silver wedding
ring.
Debia accepts Aldukar's silver wedding ring.
Debia slides a sapphire and silver wedding ring onto
her finger.
Majec asks, "Do you, Debia, take Aldukar to be
your beloved husband - to love and cherish him forsaking all others as long
as you both exist?"
Debia says, "I do"
Majec says, "Allentra, please give the ring to
Debia."
Allentra removes a sapphire and silver wedding band
from in his black silk vest.
Allentra offers Debia a sapphire and silver wedding
band.
Debia accepts Allentra's silver wedding band.
Aldukar grins.
Majec says, "Debia, by giving your ring to Aldukar,
you are sealing your eternal promise to him."
Debia offers Aldukar a sapphire and silver wedding
band.
Aldukar accepts Debia's silver wedding band.
Aldukar gazes in awe at the band in his hand.
Majec smiles.
Aldukar slides a sapphire and silver wedding band onto
his finger.
(Majec raises her prayer book and beseeches the Gods
for their blessing.)
Aldukar gazes up into the heavens.
Majec says, "With the blessings of the Gods and
Goddesses, it is my honor to pronounce you husband and wife. Please kiss
your bride Lord Aldukar."
Aldukar and Debia kiss in a loving
embrace.
Majec says, "May love, peace and happiness
follow your every step together."
