Adyr and Zarannah

[Temple, Altar]

The altar is plain, and bears only onyx bowls of smouldering incense and smoking paraffin. Draped behind it is a cloth banner, appliqued with an ancient mystical pattern. A legend is embroidered along the bottom. On the far side of the room at the end of an aisle, you see two pillars.

Also in the room: Lady Zarannah, Lord Adyr, Lord Brianus, Lady Dyva, Violenttmoon, Starrine, Lady Anekka who is kneeling, Lady Silversoft, Lady Kimmer, Ronni, Lord Kitson, Psykos, Mikeul, Parlaque, Lord Travus, Lord Mordsithpawns, Talman, Lantrim, Journeyman Yollia

Obvious exits: out.

The Attendants

You recite:

"Please rise for the Processional.

The Groomsmen enter....

Now."

Everyone stands as the procession begins...

* Psykos's group just arrived.

Psykos smiles at you.

You recite:

"Welcome Psykos and Kitson, groomsmen."

Psykos bows to you.

* Ronni just arrived.

Psykos bows to Ronni.

You recite:

"Welcome Ronni, best man."

Psykos applauds Ronni.

You recite:

"The Bridesmaids enter....

Now."

Psykos nods to Ronni.

Psykos smiles at Ronni.

Psykos nods to Ronni.

* Starrine just arrived.

Starrine just hugged Talman.

Talman just hugged Starrine.

Starrine hugs you.

Psykos joins Starrine's group.

Psykos snuggles up to Starrine.

You recite:

"Welcome Starrine, bridesmaid."

Talman just hugged Ronni.

* Violenttmoon just arrived.

Talman just hugged Violenttmoon.

You recite:

"Welcome Violenttmoon, matron of honor."

Ronni raises an eyebrow.

Talman just kissed Violenttmoon.

Violenttmoon just hugged Talman.

Ronni peers quizzically at Talman.

Violenttmoon curtsies.

* Lady Dyva just arrived.

Dyva smiles happily

Violenttmoon smiles softly

Mordsithpawns beams happily at Dyva!

You recite:

"Welcome Dyva, maid of honor."

Starrine smiles.

Silversoft beams happily at Dyva!

Lord Brianus just arrived.

Anekka beams!

Violenttmoon just kissed Talman.

Dyva gazes fondly at Mordsithpawns.

Silversoft waves to Talman.

Brianus smiles.

Dyva beams!

The Groom and Bride Enter

You recite:

"Introducing the Groom, the Legendary Lord Adyr Dreae!"

*Lord Adyr just arrived.

Anekka beams happily at Adyr!

Lantrim grins at Adyr.

Silversoft beams happily at Adyr!

Brianus grins.

Anekka sighs happily.

Dyva smiles at Adyr.

Kitson grins at Adyr.

Silversoft swoons.

Mordsithpawns beams happily at Adyr!

Adyr bows.

Talman just hugged Adyr.

Mikeul beams happily at Adyr!

Brianus snaps smartly to attention!

Brianus turns towards Adyr and renders a sharp hand salute.

Parlaque beams happily at Adyr!

Travus smiles at Adyr.

Adyr walks down to the altar.

Anekka smiles warmly at her Uncle Adyr.

Starrine grins at Adyr.

* Lady Zarannah just arrived.

You recite:

"Introducing the Bride, the beautiful Lady Zarannah Faithlynn."

Dyva beams!

Brianus smiles at Zarannah.

Violenttmoon beams happily at Zarannah!

Mikeul beams happily at Zarannah!

Silversoft gasps.

Parlaque says, "ohhh"

Talman just hugged Zarannah.

Brianus nods to you in greeting.

You nod to Brianus in greeting.

Lantrim smiles at his Father and Mother. He's clearly pleased.

Silversoft smiles through her tears..the bride is beautiful!

Anekka gasps.

Adyr beams happily at Zarannah!

Parlaque beams happily at Zarannah!

Zarannah beams happily at Adyr!

Brianus nods to Silversoft.

Brianus says, "Dat she be."

Starrine just hugged Zarannah.

Violenttmoon appears somehow different.

(Dyva smiles softly beaming at the radiant Zarannah)

Silversoft blinks.

Anekka cries with happiness, laughing through her tears.

Ronni nods to Adyr.

The Ceremony Begins

You recite:

"Will all who are not in the wedding party please be seated at this time?"

Dyva smiles at Zarannah.

Everyone takes their seats as the ceremony begins.

You recite:

"I call upon the spirits to calm this place, and give us peace to proceed."

You recite:

"Dearly beloved,

We are gathered here in each others' sight to witness the union

Of Zarannah Faithlynn and Adyr Dreae."

Dyva blushes a lovely shade of bright pink.

Brianus sits down.

You recite:

"Should anyone have just cause as to why these two should not be joined,

Let them speak or remain silent."

Psykos stands up.

You feel at full magical power again.

The Giving Away of the Bride

You recite:

"Who gives this Bride, and offers freely his blessing on this union?"

Lantrim gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Talman bows.

Talman says, "i do"

Ronni pokes Kitson in the ribs.

You turn to face Zarannah.

Mikeul smiles.

You turn to face Talman.

You recite:

"Does the Legendary Lord Talman have any words to offer these two at this moment?"

Talman says, "I Lord Talman Stardawn"

Talman turns to face Zarannah.

Talman says, "Father of Zarannah"

Talman turns to face Adyr.

Zarannah beams happily at Talman!

Starrine nods to Violenttmoon.

Talman says, "offer to you Lord Adyr Ddae"

Violenttmoon smiles at Starrine.

Zarannah fidgets.

Talman says, "My daughter's hand in enternal marriage"

Talman says, "Under the guidance of Lord Voln"

Adyr smiles at Talman.

Starrine smiles at Violenttmoon.

Talman says, "May both of your love shine for each other"

Talman says, "as brightly as the Diamonds in these lands"

Talman says, "I pray for happiness for bouth of you"

Talman just kissed Zarannah.

Psykos smiles at Talman.

Silversoft sniffs.

Zarannah just kissed Talman.

Anekka rubs Silversoft gently.

Talman just hugged Adyr.

Violenttmoon just hugged Talman.

Starrine beams happily at Talman!

Ronni nods to Kitson.

Starrine beams happily at Violenttmoon!

Talman sits down.

Lantrim smiles softly with a small tear forming in the corner of his eye.

Zarannah fidgets.

Mikeul smiles at Talman.

Starrine rubs Lantrim gently.

Talman turns to face you.

Parlaque just hugged Lantrim.

Silversoft smiles at zarannah, catching her eye

Admonitions to the Bride and Groom

You turn to face Adyr.

You reach out and hold Adyr's hand.

Silversoft winks.

You turn to face Zarannah.

You clasp Zarannah's hand tenderly.

Parlaque sighs happily.

Zarannah gazes in wonder at her surroundings.

Lantrim leans forward.

Lantrim seems to be waiting for something.

You recite:

"A sacred institution,

Sought by man,

Forged by the spirits.

Marriage."

Adyr gazes fondly at Zarannah.

Violenttmoon stares off into space.

Kitson smiles at Anekka.

Zarannah gazes fondly at Adyr.

Anekka gazes fondly at Kitson.

Anekka nods to Kitson.

You recite:

"Marriage....heals the body."

You nod to Adyr.

Starrine weeps softly, quiet tears falling from her eyes.

Silversoft nods.

You recite:

"Marriage...binds the soul."

You nod to Zarannah.

Silversoft nods to you.

You recite:

"The joining of a cleric and an empath symbolizes the heart of marriage.

Soul, and body, are required for true union.

A cleric's work with souls,

And a healer's work with the body,

Is a union incomparable with any other."

Mordsithpawns smiles at Dyva.

Dyva smiles softly tears of joy welling and glistening in her eyes

Words by the Bride and Groom

You recite:

"Adyr and Zarannah,

Express now, publicly, your deep commitment to each other in deed."

Ronni rubs Dyva gently.

You recite:

"In your own words,

By your own hand,

And from your own heart,

Speak."

You nod to Adyr.

Anekka sniffs.

Talman turns to face Adyr.

Anekka removes a rose pink silk handkerchief from in her blue bodice.

Starrine bursts into tears!

Zarannah stares at Adyr.

Anekka dabs at her eyes with her silk handkerchief.

Psykos grins at you.

Violenttmoon smiles.

Silversoft sniffs.

Anekka sniffs.

Adyr smiles as he looks into zarannah's eyes

Lantrim rubs Starrine gently.

Lantrim sniffs.

Adyr recites:

"Zarannah since the day we met in the Courtyard my heart was tooken from me by your beauty"

"Since that day we have been at each other's side in thick and thin.."

"This evening we will become one as Man and Wife "

"The most Joyious of all unions between two People"

"And it is with my Honor in front of our family and friends today that you become my wife this eveing.."

"Zarannah My Soul,body and mind is yours and only yours as your husband.."

Psykos sobs.

Adyr nods to you.

Zarannah weeps softly, quiet tears falling from her eyes.

Ronni smirks.

Parlaque cries with happiness, laughing through her tears.

You nod to Zarannah.

Anekka cries with happiness, laughing through her tears.

Violenttmoon sniffs.

Anekka dabs at her eyes with her silk handkerchief.

(Dyva blinks and a large tear drops trailing down her cheek)

Violenttmoon shifts her weight.

Zarannah smiles nervously for a brief second, staring down at her boquet. Then she looks up at Adyr and seems to lose that nervousness, and with a beautiful smile meant just for him, she begins her vows.

Zarannah recites:

"There was a time when I knew not what love meant

I knew nothing but my duty within the lands

Sometimes not even that

A part of me was missing and I did nae know it

Until I met you"

Zarannah recites:

"I know who and what I am and why I exist

Because of you

I shall love you for all time, that is my solomn vow"

Zarannah recites:

"Not because of what you have shown me

Not because of how you have helped me

Not because of how powerful you might be

But because you are the other half of me"

Psykos beams happily at Zarannah!

Adyr smiles at Zarannah.

Zarannah nods to you.

Travus sniffs.

Anekka gazes in awe at Zarannah.

Brianus smiles at Zarannah.

Violenttmoon smiles.

Lantrim smiles.

Dyva smiles at Zarannah.

Brianus tilts his head back.

Parlaque weeps softly, quiet tears falling from her eyes.

Brianus bites his lip.

The Ceremony of Rings

You recite:

"The universal symbol of union is a ring.

This marriage ring is a complete, unbroken circle,

Symbolizing the undying commitment of union."

Talman just hugged Zarannah.

Starrine beams!

Dyva bites her lip.

You recite:

"The marriage ring is commonly forged of one unified, pure metal,

Symbolizing the purity of commitment between two individuals."

(Travus mutters quitely that was beautiful.)

You recite:

"The marriage rings which Adyr and Zarannah exchange tonight

Are perfect symbols of their commitment to each other,

Chosen by them to perfectly express their feelings for one another."

"As this is a most sacred part of the ceremony,

We ask that all remain silent and unmoving through."

Violenttmoon just hugged Talman.

Zarannah smiles adoringly at Adyr

Starrine smiles at Psykos.

Talman leans to his right slightly.

Talman just kissed Violenttmoon.

Violenttmoon just kissed Talman.

You ask, "Adyr, do you have the ring?"

Travus smiles softly

Adyr nods.

Adyr nods to Ronni.

You say, "Please hand it to me."

Adyr smiles as he turns to ronni

Zarannah turns to face Dyva.

Ronni says, "now where did i put that"

Zarannah offers Dyva a bouquet of Bridal Blush roses.

Ronni scratches his chin.

Dyva accepts Zarannah's Bridal Blush roses.

Lantrim gulps.

Ronni just opened a shadowy black leather tool belt.

Anekka wrings her hands.

Talman smiles at Ronni.

Zarannah turns to face Adyr.

Starrine begins chuckling at Ronni.

Ronni removes a pearl band from in his leather tool belt.

Ronni offers Adyr a pearl band.

Kitson smiles at Adyr.

Dyva smiles softly

Ronni just closed a shadowy black leather tool belt.

Adyr accepts Ronni's pearl band.

Ronni furrows his brow.

Adyr turns to face Zarannah.

You accept Adyr's offer and are now holding a pearl band.

You recite:

"By Lorminstra's hand, I take this ring,

And charge it to one task.

Hold this marriage true and just

Is the prayer that I now ask."

You offer your pearl band to Adyr.

Adyr has accepted your offer and is now holding a pearl band.

You say, "Adyr, give the ring to Zarannah and repeat after me."

You recite:

"I pledge my love in Lorminstra's sight.

My bond, my trust, I give this night.

A greater gift has not been shared,

And a greater union has not been paired.

My life, my love, I give to Thee

And pray you hold them safe for me."

Adyr offers Zarannah a pearl band.

Talman smiles at Adyr.

Zarannah accepts Adyr's pearl band.

Zarannah whispers, "Absolutely beautiful!"

Belgray came through a narrow crack.

Starrine smiles soft

Belgray bows, waves and quietly exits.

Adyr recites:

"I pledge my love in lorminstra sight. My Bond,my trust, i give this night, a greater gift has not been shared,and a greater union has not been paired. My life,My love, I give to thee and pray you hold them safe for me"

Zarannah beams happily at Adyr!

Zarannah slides a pearl band onto her finger.

Zarannah turns to face Violenttmoon.

You ask, "Zarannah, do you have the ring?"

You say, "Please hand it to me."

Violenttmoon removes a gold wedding band from in her floral print bodice.

You accept Violenttmoon's offer and are now holding a gold wedding band.

Zarannah turns to face you.

You recite:

"By Lorminstra's hand, I take this ring,

And charge it to one task.

Hold this marriage true and just

Is the prayer that I now ask."

You offer your wedding band to Zarannah.

Zarannah has accepted your offer and is now holding a gold wedding band.

You say, "Zarannah, give the ring to Adyr and repeat after me."

Talman smiles.

Zarannah turns to face Adyr.

You recite:

(Jessta gazes fondly at her granddaughter.)

Zarannah gazes fondly at Adyr.

Talman beams happily at Zarannah!

Silversoft smiles , wiping her eyes

Zarannah offers Adyr a gold wedding band.

Adyr accepts Zarannah's wedding band.

Adyr smiles at Zarannah.

Jessta touches her lace handkerchief to her lips.

Adyr slides a gold wedding band onto his finger.

Charges to the Bride and Groom

You recite:

"Adyr and Zarannah,

In the presence of these witnesses, and in the sight of Lorminstra,

You have pledged your lives to each other.

I charge you with the following:"

"As you have promised, so shall you live.

Give to one another respect, tolerance, and adoration.

Be patient and kind.

Be caring.

Never give up on your love.

Most of all, give yourselves to each other, totally and completely.

Become one."

(Dyva gazes tenderly at her dearest love, companion and lord, Mordsithpawns and gazes then at the radiant Adyr and Zarannah)

Anekka sniffs.

You recite:

"Should either of you not be willing to follow through with the commitments you have just made,

Speak aloud now or hold your promise for all of Eternity."

Anekka dabs at her eyes with her silk handkerchief.

Anekka sniffs.

Brianus rubs his eyes.

You nod to Adyr.

Zarannah smiles at Adyr lovingly, remaining quite silent.

You nod to Zarannah.

The Announcement of Proclamations

You recite:

"Adyr, take Zarannah by the hand."

Adyr clasps Zarannah's hand tenderly.

Adyr smiles at Zarannah.

Delyorik smiles as he turns to face everyone.

Starrine rubs Violenttmoon gently.

You recite:

"Family, Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen...

Lorminstra has been greatly honored with your presence here tonight."

Lantrim wipes the sweat from his brow.

Zarannah gazes fondly at Adyr.

You recite:

"Because of your witness, the grace of Lorminstra, and the authority given me by the Temple,

I am honored and humbled to present to you...

Lord and Lady Adyr Dreae!"

You say, "Please honor them with your applause."

Everyone stands, applauds and congratulates the Newlyweds.
