CC's Guide to Ta'Illistim Deeds

When we first traveled the unfamiliar route to the new Elven Nations, we found that there were many new tough challenges... especially for the non-legendary folk :). Inevitably, the adventurers who set off to view the EN for themselves began to die from the treacherous creatures that roam the path. We knew that Ta'Illistim, like other towns, would have a system by which we could pay respects to the gods in order to earn deeds to preserve our lives. I, being the curious ranger, decided to take it upon myself to try and solve the mystery.

The first thing that you must do (once you have gotten into Ta'Illistim) is locate the Hall of Patrons. Here are a few good maps that you can check out: Martoo, Tsoran, Mnar. Once inside, locate the rotunda where the corridor branches off in many directions. You should find a tome on a marble pedestal. Open it up and you'll see the table of contents:

Several gods are categorized under each Patron of the Elven Houses. Pick any of the patrons that you wish and turn tome page [patron]. You will then see an illustration representing the physical form of one of the gods from that house. Once you have the image, you can then go to the room east of the rotunda and through the panel to the alcove. Get a taper from the shelf and light it on the candle, making sure that you're referring to your taper, and not the pile on the shelf. Once you have the taper lit, there is a bit of a time constraint, as it will eventually burn out. Next, you want to find the door that corresponds to the image of the god that you saw in the tome. Those are listed below. The lit taper will allow you passage into the room.

Now that you're in the meditation room, you must show your respect and kneel. While in a kneeling stance, place your offering upon the censer, using the same formula as the Landing's temple [101 + 100 * (level + current number of deeds + number of deaths (decays) this level)]. Due to the nature of the system, only gems can be used for your offering, but all gems are worth 3 times their value at the gemshop. Then you light the censer with your (still lit) taper and meditate. Once you have done this, your taper should automatically burn out and you will automatically be taken out of the room. If you have successfully (or unsuccessfully) gotten a deed, you will know by the message you receive.

To recap: open tome, read tome, turn tome page [patron], east, go panel, get taper from shelf, light my taper with candle, go panel, west, [whichever direction to the door corresponding to the image], go [whichever wood] door, kneel, put [gem offering] on censer, light censer with taper, meditate.

ILLISTIM:

A mature woman in gossamer robes of light grey, so long that her feet are not seen and the hem is lost in mist. Her hair is black, with a single shock of grey at her forehead. (Lumnis, modwir door N room, golden, golden scroll with 5 conjoined circles)

A young man with summer-sun gold hair, blue eyes and a slight build. He is dressed in fine but exaggerated clothing, and a great cloak with patches of every color and shape imaginable. (Cholen, maoral door SE room, gold, crimson lute)

A pale man dressed in drab colors. (Jastev, thanot door SW room, grey, silver crystal ball)


VAALOR:

As you flip to the patrons of House Vaalor the tome falls open upon the page with the image of a huge man upon a throne, wearing a crown of gold. He appears to be contemplating the fate of all things. (Koar, tanik door N room, white, golden crown)

A gaunt man with heavy-lidded eyes and a mysterious smile. His golden hair shines brightly and his clothes are golden as well. (Phoen, oak door NW room, blue, golden sunburst)

A young man of epic build with strong and carefree features. He is dressed in light armor carries a claidhmore. (Kai, tanik door SW room, crimson, silver arm with fist clenched)

A heavily muscled person, wearing the leather garments of a blacksmith. His left arm has been replaced by a veil iron prosthetic. (Eonak, maoral door NE room, brown, golden anvil)


NALFEIN:

A gaunt man with heavy-lidded eyes and a mysterious smile. His eyes are without whites, leaving deep black pools broken only by a faint grey swirl. He is dressed all in black. (Ronan, oak door NE room, black, black sword)

A towering man amid a swirl of water that obscures his lower half. He has a beard of seaweed and algae, and robes of blue and grey. In his hand, he is wielding a trident. (Charl, modwir door SE room, blue, emerald trident)

A lithe young man dressed in a simple tunic carrying a messenger's pouch across one shoulder. (Tonis, haon door NW room, blue, golden pegasus)

An ancient man of scholarly bent. He has the appearance of one who is cool and calculating. (Fash'lo'nae, thanot door N room, grey, yellow slit-pupilled eye)

A great cat. (Andelas, monir door SW room, red, black cat's head)


ARDENAI:

A gaunt man with heavy-lidded eyes and a mysterious smile. His golden hair shines brightly and his clothes are golden as well. (Phoen, oak door NW room, blue, golden sunburst)

A woman of maddening beauty. The images appears to shift giving the impression she could be of any race or color. (Oleani, linden door NW room, red, red heart with a budding flower)

A young sylvan woman, dressed in robes of leaves and flowers. (Imaera, linden door NE room, green, golden sheaf of grain)


ASHRIM:

A towering man amid a swirl of water that obscures his lower half. He has a beard of seaweed and algae, and robes of blue and grey. In his hand, he is wielding a trident. (Charl, modwir door SE room, blue, emerald trident)

A spritely young woman, no older than sixteen, with very pale skin, blue eyes and pale blonde hair. A blue-green gown clings to her slender form. (Niima, haon door SE room, blue, dolphin)


LOENTHRA:

A gaunt man with heavy-lidded eyes and a mysterious smile. His eyes are without whites, leaving deep black pools broken only by a faint grey swirl. He is dressed all in black. (Ronan, oak door NE room, black, black sword)
