I was born on the thirty first day of
the third month in nineteen hundred and seventy nine on a beautiful Saturday
morning.
While living with one of my aunts in Washington Gardens, Kingston 20. I attended
St. Jago High School – the best high school in the parish of St. Catherine.
I spent five years there, then went to Alpha for one year.
I am a person who likes to be treated with respect and will do likewise to
those whom I come in contact with. My interest lies in the health and Information
Technology areas. I am optimistic that with God’s willing, being focused
and studying that this will be a success for me.
I was apart of the National Youth Service program, the health corps to be
more specific. I was placed at the National Youth Service office at 25 Dominica
Drive, New Kingston, Kingston 5. While working there the opportunity of the
JamNet program came about and I was interesting so I went through the regular
procedures and got selected. I wanted to experience a new culture, to interact
with persons within my age group from a different country and to learn as
much as possible in Information Technology.

Why did you join the program?
To meet and live with persons from a different culture. To improve my IT skills
and to have a better understanding of a first world country.
What did you achieve?
I learned many things such as: skating, horse back riding, squash, bowling,
and new IT skills. I also learned personal skills such as time management,
adaptation, flexibility, patience, confidence, leadership and, most importantly,
dealing with the cold!
What was the funniest thing that happened on the program?
Watching all the Jamaicans attempt to skate on ice for the first time.
What are your future plans?
I would like to go into the nursing profession or work to attend a tertiary
institution to increase my employability.

1. When time gets rough that's when you have to get rough with it ,pick
up yourself and get higher
2. With Jesus I'll make it, I know my needs he will supply.
3. Sometimes you have to turn your obstacles into opportunities.
