Taking Action “Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.” - Prov. 20:18 “A wicked man puts up a bold front, but a righteous man gives thoughts to his ways.” - Prov. 21:29 “I do not run like a man running aimlessly, I do not fight like a man beating the air.” - I Corinth. 9:26 - Understand the Objectives: 1. Co-labor with God: We have to seek daily direction birthed in a life of prayer. You can bear no fruits without submission to the Lord. In other words, God is our boss - and He doesn’t care much for slackers! God has a job for you so do it! 2. Serve the Community: If we are not genuinely and actively involved in serving the community, how will we be exposed to them? Christianity is not an exclusive club. Find out the needs of the people around you, and cater to those needs. Don’t be afraid to assert yourself and step outside of the comfort zone, God will reward you greatly for this! - Acts 8:26-31 3. Develop a Clear, Memorable, and CONSISTENT Image: Consistent is a key term here. Underline it... then do it a second time. Its very important that when people look at you, no matter if it is as church, school, the mall, wherever, that you impact those around you. At all times it should be highly obvious to the people around you that you are a Jesus Freak. Label yourself a Christian with stickers, pins, t-shirts, and whatever else you can find. More importantly, however, show what it means to be a “Little Christ” to everyone around you through your actions, words, and compassion. 4. Create a Plan: Think of ways that you can serve the community. What resources do you have? What talents do you have? What is God compelling you to do? Now, how can you do it?
