When Akira heard that Hikaru was playing Internet Go, he rushed to see him. Back to Top Round 37 -- The Second Semester Hikaru managed to hide the truth from Akira. Akira told Hikaru that he won't see him again. Hikaru stopped playing Internet Go. Hikaru was thinking to let Sai played with him, so he went to bargain with his grandfather to get a Go board for him. Back to Top Round 38 -- A 1000 Years of Perseverance While Hikaru was playing against his Grandpa, Sai's mind was flooded with the past. Hikaru's Grandpa decided to buy Hikaru a Go board. ( Cost 50000 Yen ) Hikaru and Sai was having some trouble to play against each other. When everything went smoothly, Sai slaughtered Hikaru very badly...... ^^ Back to Top Round 39 -- True Ability Hikaru managed to beat Tsutsui even with 2 handicaps, but still unable to defeat Mitani. Not long after that, Hikaru shocked Tsutsui when he was able to defeat Mitani. One day, Hikaru met Kishimoto. Kishimoto asked hikaru to show his true ability. Back to Top Round 40 -- The Motivation After the match, Kishimoto told Hikaru how different he was from Akira. Hikaru realised that to chase Akira, he had to take the same path as Akira. Hikaru decided to be an Insei. Back to Top Round 41 -- The Go Club's Excitement With Ogata's help, Hikaru managed to get the chance to take the Insei qualification test. The Go Club members were excited about the upcoming Go competition when they got a new member. Hikaru was shocked to realise that he couldn't join the competition if he became an Insei. Back to Top Round 42 -- Each's Decision Mitani was angered as he thought Hikaru was going to leave the Club. Suddenly Kaga jumped into the room to hide from the teacher. Hikaru was indecisive whether to be an Insei, especially when Mitani too decided to leave the club. Kaga suggested a way to test Hikaru's skill by playing against 3 at the same time. Back to Top Round 43 -- To The Next Step Tsutsui and Mitani conceded defeat, however Hikaru still lost to Kaga by 6 moku. Finally Hikaru decided to take the Insei qualification test.
