Tsutsui managed to win and thus the team advanced to the next round with the result of 2 win 1 lost. The second match continued and Kaga beat the opponent easily. The teacher reprimanded the student for giving up too quickly, but kaga told the teacher that there was no way to beat him, no matter what moves he took, so giving up the match was a correct decision. Kaga walked around to see how Tsutsui and Hikaru's doing. He began to worry when seeing Tsutsui having a hard time, and Hikaru was still playing as bad as before. Kaga asked if Hikaru was playing, and Hikaru replied he WAS indeed playing. He told Kaga that the Go board was just like a universe, the stones are the planets, and he was the god who created the universe. Sai was astonished by Hikaru's words.
Soon, Tsutsui stood up and leaved in the middle of the match, realising that he could not win. Kaga told Hikaru that if they couldn't win this competition, the school won't recognize the Go club. Tsutsui kept this from Hikaru as he didn't want to give Hikaru stress. Hikaru realised that he had to win to help Tsutsui to build the Go club, but he didn't have the confident to overturn the table. He seeked for Sai's help, but Sai reminded Hikaru again that he said that he didn't need Sai's help. Sai took his word back when he saw Hikaru in tears. Sai knew how sad not to be able to win by yourself. He told Hikaru that they could win if they worked together.
Tsutsui came back and Kaga told him that Hikaru won and they managed to go to the final round VS Kaioh Junior High. Tsutsui was crying happily, while Kaga told him to throw his Go manual book away as it would only distract his match. Meanwhile, the principal of Kaioh Junior High showed Akira the room where the Go match was taken. Akira was shocked to see Hikaru.
