Q: Is Sai a guy or a girl?

It had been confirmed that Sai is definitely a guy. It was mentioned in the manga that Hotta Yumi "faints" upon knowing a magazine refered Sai as a she. ^^;;;

Q: If Sai is a guy, why he used purple lipstick and earrings?

This is just my guess: I saw the older pictures of Sai. His skin colors are also shaded purple and he used to look semi-transparent. I think all this purple business is just a way to tell people that Sai is dead.

Another info from a guest: This is a typical depiction of a young (and handsome) Heian noble. In another anime- "The Tale of Genji", Prince Genji is also shown with lipstick and earrings. And, as readers of this fascinating book will remember, the ladies couldn't get enough of Prince Genji.

Q: What is "Kami no itte" that Sai really wish to achieve?

"Kami no itte" means "Hands of God" if translated literally. Some other translations that I'd seen called it "Moves of God" or "Play of God". Whatever it is called, I think "Kami no itte" is some kind of divine move or ultimate move in Go.

Q: Could Sai fly?

Hehe, I want to know too if he could fly. Even Hikaru also wondered about this question. No one had seen him fly yet. Though in the anime, I saw Sai running instead of floating, so I guess he can't.

Q: How old is Sai?

Sai died at age 20. A thousand years later he met Shusaku, then another 140 years later he met Hikaru. Add another 2 years while he was with Hikaru, there~ you got the answer ^_~
