Mashiba Mitsuru The insei that became Pro by luck. He insulted Isumi for unable to become Pro, but later was defeated by Isumi in Young Lions Tournament.

Michio - see Shirakawa Michio

Mitani Yuki Mitani is one of the rare students in Haze Jr High who knew how to play Go. Though pretty good in Go, he tend to cheat during the match. He was "pulled" into the the school Go club by Hikaru.

Mitsuru - see Mashiba Mitsuru

Morishita 9-Dan Morishita is Waya's Go teacher. He insisted that he is Toya Koyo's rival and ordered his students to defeat anyone who were studying under Toya Koyo.

Murakami Shin-ichi The Pro that defeated Hikaru in Young Lions Tournament. Later was defeated by Hikaru when Hikaru became a Pro.
