Akira is the son of Toya Meijin, one of the best Go Pro in Japan. Akira began learning Go at the age of two. He had both passion and preseverance for Go. Even without his father reputation, Akira was known as the best Go player at his age.

Until one day, Akira met Hikaru who managed to defeat him twice. Of course, Akira did not know that all those matches were actually played by Sai. Akira was very upset for a while before he finally plucked up his courage to chase Hikaru. But the third match between him and Hikaru turned out to be a disappointment, since it was not Sai who played, it's Hikaru himself. Akira was hurt to realise Hikaru's true ability as it was not what he expected it to be.

While Akira walked back to path he used to walk on, never to realise that he had pulled Hikaru along with him. However, Akira's pride made him never want to accept Hikaru as his rival, but deep inside he was very concerned about Hikaru's current situation....

Personality

Most of the time, Akira appeared very friendly and shy-looking boy. He was pretty popular with girls too ^^ But Hikaru's appearance had showed the other side of him. He sometimes became aggressive and emotional when someone mentioned Hikaru.
