Star TrekTM Ship Construction Manual (2nd Edition) - Matt and Kelly A program/database which include the tables contained within the SCM as "point and click" usage. You still need to type in some things contained in the tables, but the program automatically searches for the required data in the table and displays the information where it needs to go. I used Excel to produce a spreadsheet which the user would simply enter the required information into the identified cells and Excel would crank through the calculations. In my searchings on-line, this is the maximum extent that I have seen the SCM taken...until now. All the above programs suffered from one fatal flaw...if you didn't have the SCM, you wouldn't know what to put where. System requirements: the Excel Spreadsheets are
written in Excel 2000. |

FASA Nacelles Notes about sizes used. The "cut and paste" method of kitbashing used in the FASA Starfleet Ship Recognition Manual partially obscures the fact that the nacelles (and, in some cases, the primary saucers) used in the ships are of different sizes. A measurement of each picture based on the stated size of the ship represented will show this to be the case. Many nacelles come out to a unique size, but I've collected them into eight broad categories as shown in the table below. |

Of course, rabid Trekkies know that Peter David's New Frontier novels also use the Excalibur. Well, my campaign ended well before the novels came out, but I have amended the entries in the Excalibur's logs that are posted here to include continuity from the New Frontier books. The second campaign was set during the Classic Trek period, specifically in the period near the end of the original series and prior to Star Trek: The Motion Picture. |

In order to keep the adventures coming I cannabalized numerous scenarios for other games from back issues of White Dwarf, Challenge and various fanzines. | If your in need of a table, chart, list etc from the FASA ST game you can
search all the fasa fan sites, you may have to piece the information together to get a
complete compilation. You can view reproduce FASa material on the web such as STCS rules,
1st RPG rules, Original FASA ship stats, Original Tables and charts and varous original
rules. Due to the limitations of free :) storage space and users with low bandwidth connections, there is no one site where we can download these old books. Some people took the time to get these books into pdf format, some even in OCR.... So if your book is falling apart; goto your local library and see if they can fix it and pay them, its okay there a library, and then put the book away and download the digital reproductions, or better yet scan them in. *Limitations of the digital reproductions is usually the quality of the photos and drawings in the books don't reproduce well under non-optimized situations. Sometimes the text is light or the original scan process used low quality and the pdf conversion lowered that quailty even more. Then the file size issue, I seen books that where 200Megs look worse than a book at 35Megs... Due to all this you still may have to pull the old book out of storage to get high-quality scans of certain items, For use in your FASA projects. Also
check the many FASA groups and web sites; some have portions of the FASA ST material
available in one form or another. |

| ufc465537-Resources Download an OCR Scan in PDF of STRPG 1st Edition and game parts. (text slight fixed from the original) UFC Revisions; there were a number of mistakes in the first edition that were annoying enough to warrant correcting. An example would be on page 114, where a scrap of paper had blocked out sections of the last 3 paragraphs. There were also quite a number of spelling and grammar errors that got to the final printing that I fixed. I kept the formatting the best I could, and inserted images from the book after I scanned all the text. Software limitations prevented me from duplicating certain fonts, borders, and frames. The most notable changes from the original is the shading alternate lines in tables I added to make it easier to track numbers and the insertion of bookmark links. There were also sections where I made decisions to put captions in bold. All the information contained within the
original remains unchanged. |
