A/N: For someone who is always afraid that her stuff is going to tank, I sure seem to take on a lot of these challenges. Here I go again. I think it ran over five minutes this time.
"Don't tell me no."
Beka turned on Dylan in fury. "How dare you say that to me? I have every right to do what I want."
"You don't have the right to break up with me. I'm not letting you throw away the things that we have."
"Forget it Dylan. I'm doing what's best. You deserve someone better than me. So, that's why I'm doing this. Good-bye." She attempted to leave the room but, Dylan grabbed her.
"NO. You're the right woman for me. Stop this. There is no one better for me than you."
She was furious and wanted to wound him so he would let her go. "What about your precious Sarah?"
He recoiled as if she'd punched him. Beka wanted to take it back as soon as the words were out. She'd hurt him so badly but, she couldn't take it back; this was best. She took this oppurtunity to leave the room.
Dylan couldn't believe she'd said that. How could she? "Because she's deathly afraid that she can't live up to your ideal of Sarah. That's her whole reason for doing this in the first place", a little voice in his head whispered.
Then he knew what he had to do. He headed for the Maru. Beka always went there; with any luck she wouldn't have changed the codes yet.

He was in luck. He was able to get in. "Beka", he called. No answer. He headed towards crew quarters and found her curled up on her bunk, sobbing.
"Go away."
"I can't." He sat down next to her. "Beka, I'm sorry if I made you think you had to live up to Sarah. I didn't mean to because you don't. You're two very different women who lived two very different lives. I love you for who you are Rebekah Valentine. You really are the woman for me and if you don't come back to me you'll break my heart. I love you."
She turned towards him uncertainly. "I-I love you too Dylan. I'm sorry for what I said. Can you forgive me?"
He nodded. "Can you forgive me?"
His answer came as she flung herself into his arms, sobbing some more. And he just held her, kissing the top of her head and murmuring soothing words into her ear.
